How to unlock the Version 1.2 auction event, win Collectibles, and turn bids into Annulith and Fons.

Going, Going, Gone! is an auction event in Neverness to Everness where four players bid against each other with a special currency called Gold Shells to win Collectibles. It arrived with Version 1.2 and runs from July 29, 2026 to August 19, 2026. The core of the event is guessing the hidden total value of a set of Collectibles, then bidding enough to take them without paying more than they are worth.

Quick answer: Accept the tutorial quest “The Instant Decision Hammer (New Information)” at Hethereau, New Herland District, Nutcracker Road to unlock the event, then join auctions using a Device Set to clear the Auction Quests, which pay the most Annulith and Fabricated Dice.

How to unlock Going, Going, Gone!

The event opens after you finish a short tutorial quest. Until it is cleared, matchmaking and the auction menus stay locked.

Travel to Hethereau and head to the New Herland District, specifically Nutcracker Road. This is where the tutorial quest is offered.
Accept and complete “The Instant Decision Hammer (New Information).” Finishing it unlocks the full auction interface.
Open the event screen. You can now pick a venue, choose an assistant, buy Device Sets, and tap Start Matchmaking in the bottom right.

Auction venues and entry costs

Each venue has its own Collectibles pool and its own price to enter. Higher halls require more Gold Shells on hand and charge a larger entry fee, but the lots inside tend to be worth more. Pick the hall that matches your current funds.

Assistants and Device Sets

Before matchmaking, you select an auction assistant. Each assistant reveals different information during bidding, and the timing of those reveals changes depending on which one you bring. You can use any partner character as your assistant, including ones you do not own, so choose the skill that fits how you want to read the lots.

Device Sets are bought with Gold Shells and slotted before the auction. They expose details about the Collectibles up for bid, giving you an edge when you estimate value. A Device Set is not spent when you buy it. It is only consumed the moment you actually use its effect during an auction, which you trigger from the button in the bottom left of the auction screen. Because each use is one-time, decide carefully when to spend it.

Tip: Joining an auction while carrying a Device Set is what completes the Auction Quests, so bring one every run even if you do not intend to spend it.

How the bidding rounds work

Once matchmaking completes, you and three other players guess the combined value of the lot’s Collectibles. Use the size and rarity color of each item, plus any information your assistant or Device Sets reveal, to set a bid that stays below the true value. A recommended bid amount appears on the bidding screen if you need a reference.

An auction runs through up to six rounds. The margin you need over the second-highest bid shrinks each round, so it gets easier to win outright the longer no one closes it out.

RoundWinning condition
1Bid is at least 2x the second-highest bid
2Bid is at least 1.6x the second-highest bid
3Bid is at least 1.3x the second-highest bid
4Bid is at least 1.1x the second-highest bid
5The highest bidder wins every item in the lot
6Only occurs if Round 5 has tied top bidders; only those bidders continue, and the highest wins the lot

The player who meets the condition takes all the Collectibles, and the game ends. There is a catch that shapes strategy. If the winning bid is higher than the items’ real value, the winner takes negative profit, and each of the other three players receives 10% of that negative amount as their own payout. Pushing a rival into overpaying is a legitimate tactic on its own.

You can tap a Collectible’s silhouette during the auction to see which items are possible candidates and check their individual prices. That helps you narrow the total and avoid a loss-making bid.

Turning Collectibles back into Gold Shells

Collectibles you win go to the Collectibles Warehouse, where you can sell them outright or put them on display. Displayed items generate Gold Shells over time, so displaying is the steadier way to grow your funds. Red-rarity Collectibles are best kept on display rather than sold.

Note: Reorganizing your displayed items wipes any income you have not collected yet. Always claim your earnings before you rearrange the display.

Safety Fund when you run low

If your Gold Shells fall to 100,000 or below, a Safety Fund button appears in the top right of the event screen. Pressing it grants 100,000 Gold Shells, and you can claim it up to five times per day. This keeps you in the game even after a bad run of auctions.

Some players intentionally hold their Collectibles instead of selling so their balance drops below 100,000 and the Safety Fund becomes available. That works, but going too low makes it hard to actually win bids, so keep at least 200,000 Gold Shells ready before joining an auction.

Rewards and the fastest path to Annulith

Rewards come from three tracks. Event quests pay out based on your total auctions joined, auctions won, and cumulative profit, giving Fabricated Dice, Annulith, Fons, and more. Index Rewards are tied to the variety of Collectibles you have won, and they grant Annulith along with Limited Titles as you fill out each stage.

The Auction Quests hold the biggest share of Fabricated Dice and Annulith, and they complete simply by joining an auction with a Device Set equipped. Prioritize those. To close out the event quickly, focus on collecting a wide range of Collectibles for the Index Rewards, and accept a slight loss on a bid when it fills a missing entry faster.

You know the event is progressing correctly when Auction Quests tick over after each Device-equipped run and Index Rewards unlock as new Collectible types enter your Warehouse. If a quest will not clear, the usual reason is joining an auction without a Device Set slotted, since that is the specific action the quest checks for.

Going, Going, Gone! stays open until August 19, 2026, which leaves plenty of runs to farm the Auction Quests and complete the Index. Bring a Device Set every time, read the lots before you commit, and let displayed Collectibles rebuild your Gold Shells between auctions.
