NTE Zankou Materials: Full Farming List and Where to Get Them

Every ascension and skill material Zankou needs at level 80, the exact bosses that drop them, and what to farm first.

Every ascension and skill material Zankou needs at level 80, the exact bosses that drop them, and what to farm first.

Zankou is the S-Class Incantation main DPS headlining Version 1.3 Phase 1 of Neverness to Everness, and her upgrade costs are already known. That means you can stockpile almost everything she needs before she ever lands in your roster, which matters because two of her materials come from bosses you can only hit so often.

Quick answer: Start with 86 Nest Guard Fragment from the Nestbound Bird anomaly in the New Herland District of Hethereau and 35 Eternal Memory from the Debt Collector in the northern Miguel District. Those are the two hard bottlenecks — skill books, Numerals, and Beetle Coins can all be topped up later.

Zankou material list for level 80 and max skills

Her costs split into two tracks. Ascension raises her level cap, and skill upgrades push her four combat abilities to their limits. Level 80 is the current character cap, and getting there also eats 325 Elite Hunter Guides on top of everything below.

Note: the Numerals overlap between both tracks, so the running total you actually want in storage is roughly 57 Blurred, 61 Unsolved, and 80 Distorted before you factor in her Arc.

Farm order: clear the capped drops first

Run your Anomaly Pilgrimage attempts against the Debt Collector before anything else. Eternal Memory only comes from that encounter and attempts refresh on a limited schedule, so a skipped week is a week you cannot make up.
Pour the bulk of your Character Pixels into the Nestbound Bird until Nest Guard Fragment climbs past 80. At 86 required and no alternate source, this is the single largest stamina sink on the list.
Spend whatever stamina is left on Houdinii’s Schemes for skill books, then mop up Numerals from open-world enemies while you explore. These are the easiest pieces to backfill after her banner opens.
Hold onto any Material Selection Boxes instead of cracking them early. Once you can see exactly how many Nest Guard Fragments or Eternal Memories you are short, those boxes close the gap instead of being spent on things you already have.

Where to farm Nest Guard Fragment and Eternal Memory

Nest Guard Fragment drops from the Nestbound Bird anomaly, found in the New Herland District of Hethereau. It is a straightforward boss material with no substitute, and each clear also hands back Beetle Coins and Hunter EXP, so the runs are never wasted even after you hit 86.

Eternal Memory is the more restrictive one. It comes from the Debt Collector anomaly in the northern part of the Miguel District, and the encounter sits behind the Anomaly Pilgrimage system. If you have not finished the main story quest tied to that area, the fight will not be available to you at all — clear that quest first, or the 35-count requirement becomes a launch-day problem.

Skill books, Numerals, and Beetle Coins

First Expectations, Known Weariness, and Black Hat all belong to the same ability-enhancement line, and all three come out of Houdinii’s Schemes in the Miguel District. The zone is open at any time, so there is no weekly window to miss. Check which tier you actually need before running it, since the stage pays out in bulk for the stamina you feed it.

Black Hat has two extra routes worth knowing about. It can be picked up through the Hunter Exchange or produced via Synthesis, which is useful because 65 of them is the largest skill-book requirement she has. The Hunter Exchange opens at Life Skill Level 6, and skill materials also turn up as Auction lots once you clear Story Chapter 3.

First ExpectationsHoudinii’s Schemes
Known WearinessHoudinii’s Schemes
Black HatHoudinii’s Schemes, Hunter Exchange, Synthesis
Blurred / Unsolved / Distorted NumeralOpen-world enemies across Hethereau

The three Numeral tiers drop from ordinary field enemies, including the Haunted Vending Machine anomalies scattered around the city, and they pile up naturally while you complete commissions. Beetle Coins are the quiet drain here — over 2.3 million between ascension and skills, before her Arc gets a single level.

Signature Arc materials

If you plan to pull her signature S-Class Arc alongside her, budget for a second set of Numerals. Ascending the Arc to level 80 costs 420,000 Beetle Coins plus 18 Versey, 18 Harmony, and 14 Beaty, drawn from the Spiral Tune line, along with 18 Unsolved Numeral, 18 Distorted Numeral, and 14 Blurred Numeral.

Tip: because the Numerals are shared across her character, her skills, and her weapon, do not stop collecting them once ascension is covered. They are the one resource that keeps reappearing on every progression screen.

Common reasons pre-farming stalls

Three things typically block a clean pre-farm. The Debt Collector will not appear in your Anomaly Pilgrimage list until the relevant main story quest for northern Miguel District is complete. The Hunter Exchange stays locked until Life Skill Level 6, which cuts off your backup route for Black Hat. And stamina is shared across activities, so a day spent on city systems is a day you did not spend on the Nestbound Bird.

You will know the stockpile is done when the ascension screen shows no red counters at the level 80 breakpoint and each of her four abilities can be pushed without a missing-material warning. Get Nest Guard Fragment to 86 and Eternal Memory to 35 before her banner goes live, and the rest is just spending coins.
