Unsealing the path to Charlotte comes down to three stone body parts and three puzzle-box alignments. The gate is held shut by three statues on Bruno’s grounds, and each one needs a missing piece slotted back into place along with a shaped Genesis Configuration box before the wings swing open.

Quick answer: Find the Statue’s Hand inside the mansion, the Statue’s Head in the swamp cabin, and the Statue’s Tongue beneath the park well. Attach each to its gate statue and solve the Genesis Configuration box that follows to open the gate.

What you need to open the gate

Three statues flank the gate, and each one is missing a feature. You collect those features one at a time across the mansion and the surrounding grounds, then return to the gate for each. Every attachment triggers a Genesis Configuration puzzle, where you shift and rotate the puzzle-box to match an outline before it locks into the statue’s chest.

  • Statue’s Hand — hidden behind the figurine display inside the mansion.
  • Statue’s Head — sitting in an armchair inside the swamp cabin.
  • Statue’s Tongue — on a ritual desk in the chamber under the park well.
  • Genesis Configuration — the puzzle-box you already carry, used at each statue.

Break into the mansion through the cellar

Walk to the shed on the right exterior side of the mansion and take the Bolt Cutters from the top of the red tool cabinet. They cut through metal, which is the only way past the chained cellar doors.

Carry the cutters around the exterior to the chained storm doors and snip the padlock chain to open the cellar.

Drop into the basement, grab supplies, and pick up the Baseball Bat from the altar hung with severed hands. Collecting the golden mask inside the elevator cage triggers a blood-fueled enemy wave. Clear it, step back into the elevator, and press the button to ride up into the mansion interior.

Get the Statue’s Hand from the figurine display

Two figurines, Marlowe and Bruno, open the display case that holds the hand. You pull one from a locked office cabinet and the other from a gramophone drawer.

In the music room, enter 1966 on the numpad cabinet lock. If it is your fifth numpad lock, the Codebreaker trophy pops here. Grab the ammo, gunpowder, chemicals, and ritual chalice inside.
Move to the office and work the circular dial on the metal cabinet. Select the left spot and turn it once, then select the top spot and turn it three times. The cabinet opens, holding the Marlowe Figurine along with SMG ammo, coins, and a repair kit.
Take the Winding Handle from beside the gramophone in the music room, then insert it into the dining room gramophone. That opens its drawer, where the Bruno Figurine is waiting.

Set the two figurines on the foyer pedestal display. The cage drops, revealing the Resurrection Key and Statue’s Hand from the cushion.
Use the Resurrection Key on the double glass doors near the foyer stairs. Inside, nerve gas starts filling the room, so quickly rotate the three robed statues to match the painting on the wall before you are overwhelmed. This lets you reach the back room and take the Bedroom Key from the office desk, then push the secret brick shelf to escape back to the foyer.
Head upstairs and open Bruno’s padded red door with the Bedroom Key. Inspect the notebook on the vanity to find the hidden Security Card, then swipe it at the ground-floor exit scanner to leave the mansion.
Run back to the statue gate and place the Statue’s Hand on the left gate statue. A Genesis Configuration puzzle opens. Shift with the left stick, rotate with the right stick, and match the blue outline before inserting the box.

Reach the cabin and claim the Statue’s Head

The head is deep in the swamp, and picking it up starts a siege. Stock up on ammo before you leave, because the fight that follows is long.

On the muddy path to the cabin, an abandoned blue tent campsite holds the Pistol: .45 Super Rounds upgrade. A stealth kill on the monster there clears the way to grab it.

Enter the cabin and take the Statue’s Head from the leather armchair. This immediately spawns crawling and walking creatures, so be ready to fight the moment you lift it.
Grab the Wooden Boards from the front hallway and barricade every window opening to slow the enemies breaching the cabin. Defend through the wave using your firearms and puzzle-box powers.
When the floor collapses, you drop into the flooded cavern below. Wade through the crawlspace and retrieve the Crank Handle, then climb the broken floorboards back up into the cabin.
Fit the Crank Handle onto the porch winch and rotate it to lower the bridge outside. Cross it and retrace your route to the gate plaza.
Place the Statue’s Head on the headless male statue. For this second Genesis Configuration puzzle, reshape the box into an “I” cross pattern and lock it into the chest cavity.

Open the well and take the Statue’s Tongue

The last part sits in a chamber under a sealed well, and three brass Puzzle Blocks are needed to open it. Each block is scattered across the park grounds.

Shooting the 9 target bottles around the swamp pier unlocks the Red Dead Damnation trophy, and the shed beside the pagoda hides an inventory capacity upgrade and a shotgun upgrade for anyone carrying a lockpick.

Carry all three blocks to the stone well in the park clearing and slot them into the receptacle. Check the charcoal sketch clues nearby before you start rotating.
Rotate each block segment until they line up into the perspective drawing of a receding alleyway. When the image is correct, the well cover opens and you can climb down the ladder.
Pass through the ritual shrine and take the Statue’s Tongue from the candle-lit altar desk. To restore power, rewire the wall circuit box so the top-left, middle, and bottom-right circuits light green.

An optional flesh-cutting and valve puzzle in the side tunnels rewards 99 coins, and a cabinet in this room holds an SMG upgrade if you have a lockpick. Once powered, head back up the stairs and tunnels to exit the well.

Attach the Tongue and confirm the gate is open

Place the Statue’s Tongue in the mouth of the third statue, which is shaped like Charlotte. Then finish the final Genesis Configuration puzzle by aligning the box with its chest cavity.

With all three parts set and all three box puzzles solved, both gate wings unlock and swing open toward the boss area. Opening the final iron diamond gate beyond them switches the objective to Claim Charlotte’s Heart, which confirms the gate is fully open and the next encounter is ahead.

A boss fight waits directly past the open gate, so top up ammo, health, and crafting materials before you step through.
