Orgrimmar Hunter Trainers: Location in the Valley of Honor

The Hunter Trainers in Orgrimmar sit together in one spot, so you only have to learn a single route. They are tucked inside Hunter’s Hall, the walled training ground in the Valley of Honor at the northeastern corner of the city.

Quick answer: Head to the Valley of Honor in the northeast of Orgrimmar and enter Hunter’s Hall. Ormak Grimshot and the other Hunter Trainers stand inside the circular training ring.

Where the Orgrimmar Hunter Trainers are located

Orgrimmar is split into several themed valleys. The Hunter Trainers live in the Valley of Honor, the martial district in the northeast that also holds the Warrior trainers and the weapon trainers. Their specific home is Hunter’s Hall, a red earthen basin ringed by stone walls with a bonfire burning in the middle.

Open your Orgrimmar map and look for the Valley of Honor label toward the top-right. Hunter’s Hall is the enclosed ring on the western side of that valley, near the ramp that climbs up from the main road.

How to reach Hunter’s Hall from the city entrance

From the main road, travel to the northeastern section of Orgrimmar and pass into the Valley of Honor. This is the same valley that houses the Warrior trainers, so follow the signs pointing that way.

Locate the large red basin structure on the western side of the valley. Run up the dirt ramp toward it, past the wooden posts that line the path.

Enter the enclosed training ring through the gap in the rocks. Within it, a circular dirt area surrounds a central bonfire, with stone walls around the perimeter.

Find a trainer inside and right-click them to open the training window. The trainers are spread around the ring and up the ramps within the hall.

Hunter Trainers inside Hunter’s Hall

Three Hunter Trainers work out of Hunter’s Hall, and any of them teaches the same abilities. Ormak Grimshot is the one most players interact with, and he also serves as a hunter quest giver. The trainers stand at the top of the southern ramp inside the hall.

Ormak Grimshot teaches the full range of Hunter abilities across the Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival lines, from low-rank shots like Arcane Shot up to level 60 ranks. You buy each new rank as you reach its required level.

Pet Trainer and Stable Master nearby

A second ramp leads down and to the north from the Hunter Trainers. Follow it to reach the Pet Trainer, Xao’tsu, who teaches your beast pet its abilities. A Stable Master, Xon’cha, stands under a canopy along the outdoor path just outside, where you can store and swap pets.

You cannot tame a pet until you finish the Hunter class quest chain that unlocks Tame Beast, which becomes available around level 10. Until then, Xao’tsu has nothing to teach a hunter without a pet.

Confirming you found the right trainer

When you right-click a Hunter Trainer as a hunter, the training menu opens with a “Train me” option and a list of abilities you can buy. Ormak Grimshot greets hunters with a line about learning to hunt with honor. If you approach as any other class, he simply says he cannot train you, which is your sign you are at a class-specific trainer rather than the one you need.
