Civic Project: Docks is Palia’s first community-wide build effort, calling on every player to help rebuild the Kilima docks and open a new route to the Royal Highlands. It runs as its own free Lunar Path with 99 reward tiers, powered by a currency called Dock XP that you earn by crafting and donating supply kits. It arrived with the Fall’s Faire: Petals & Portraits update on August 26, 2026.
Quick answer: Speak with Ashura at Ormuu’s Horn Inn to unlock the supply kit recipes, craft any kit at a dockside worktable near section C8 in Kilima, then donate it at the “Contribute Supplies” sign. Each donation grants Dock XP, which unlocks the 99 reward tiers automatically.

How Civic Project: Docks works
Civic Projects are large community goals that change the world of Palia. Unlike timed community events, this one begins with a quest, hands you recipes, and results in a rebuilt harbor once enough players contribute. The docks path sits under the Lunar Paths tab, but you do not need to activate it. It progresses on its own while you also work a standard Lunar Path such as Path of the Great Sage.
Progress comes from Dock XP, a currency exclusive to this project. You earn it by crafting supply kits and donating them at the docks. Each kit also adds 1, 2, or 4 points to the community’s shared build total depending on its rarity. The path is entirely free, with all 99 tiers unlocked purely by earning Dock XP.

The project unlocks by talking to Ashura, the Kilima innkeeper. He usually stands inside Ormuu’s Horn Inn, though, like every villager, he wanders during the day, so check the map for his icon if he is not there. Speaking with him starts the Open for Trade quest and grants you every supply kit recipe you need.

Where to find the docks in Kilima
The old docks in need of repair sit toward the southwest end of Kilima, around section C8 on the map. Several workbenches are placed around the area for crafting, and a donation sign stands nearby for turning kits in. You can also craft kits at your home plot worktable and contribute from there, but the Open for Trade tutorial specifically needs a dockside table.

Craft and donate supply kits to earn Dock XP
There are 12 supply boxes split across three rarities: Basic, Standard, and Advanced. You can craft and donate them as many times as you like, with no cap. Each rarity awards a Dock XP medal worth a fixed amount. Higher rarities cost rarer materials but return far more Dock XP per kit.

| Supply kit | Materials | Dock XP |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Angler’s Kit | 12x any common fish | 350 (Minor) |
| Basic Bugcatcher’s Kit | 14x any common bug | 350 (Minor) |
| Basic Farmer’s Kit | 12x any crop | 350 (Minor) |
| Basic Supply Kit | 10x Sapwood Plank, 5x Copper Bar, 5x Stone Brick | 350 (Minor) |
| Standard Angler’s Kit | 8x any uncommon fish | 700 (Major) |
| Standard Bugcatcher’s Kit | 18x any uncommon bug | 700 (Major) |
| Standard Hunter’s Kit | 16x any uncommon hunting trophy | 700 (Major) |
| Standard Supply Kit | 10x Heartwood Plank, 5x Iron Bar, 10x Stone Brick | 700 (Major) |
| Advanced Angler’s Kit | 4x any rare fish | 1,400 (Massive) |
| Advanced Bugcatcher’s Kit | 12x any rare bug | 1,400 (Massive) |
| Advanced Hunter’s Kit | 10x any rare hunting trophy | 1,400 (Massive) |
| Advanced Supply Kit | 12x Flow-Infused Plank, 4x Palium Bar, 10x Whitestone Slab | 1,400 (Massive) |
Some kits ask for specific collections, such as a set number of the same rarity fish, bug, or trophy, so check the requirements before you gather. To confirm a donation is registered, watch your Dock XP tick up and the docks path level increase. As you reach milestones, the construction site visibly transforms into a working harbor.
Rewards across all 99 tiers
The path runs 99 tiers deep, mixing Dock Worker’s Reward Bags, Kilima Coins, Teleport Potions, Treat Packs, Queen Ushindi kitchen furniture, tints, profile icons, and player titles. Limited-time titles before completion
Two player titles are only available while the community is still building. You earn the first at 10 contribution points and the second at 400 points. Once the docks are finished, these titles retire and can no longer be obtained, making them a memento for players who helped early. The path-based titles like Quartermaster, Seafarer, and Sovereign of the Sea remain claimable at your own pace.

How long the docks project lasts
Civic Project: Docks is a permanent event with no end date, matching how main Lunar Paths behave in Palia. Even if the community finishes rebuilding the docks before you complete the path, every reward stays available to unlock afterward. Only the two contribution titles at 10 and 400 points are time-limited to the building phase.
The fastest route to the top tiers is stacking Advanced kits when you have rare materials on hand, since each returns 1,400 Dock XP, while Basic kits keep progress moving cheaply between big crafting sessions. Rotate through fishing, bug catching, hunting, and gathering to keep a steady supply of donation materials, and the harbor will come together for the whole community.
