A bow and arrow loadout stays competitive throughout Palworld 1.0, and the ceiling is higher than most players expect. The right weapon does the heavy lifting, but the Pals riding in your party decide how much damage each shot lands, how fast you can fire, and whether you get to open a fight from stealth. Put both halves together and you get a build that snipes, sneaks, and bursts down tough targets.
Quick answer: Craft and equip the Mechanical Bow, then fill your party with Loomen (exploding arrows), Robinquill Terra (faster charge), Hoodle (bonus damage from stealth), and Solenne (flat attack boost). Add Leezpunk and Snugloo when you want to stay invisible.

Mechanical Bow: The weapon to use
The Mechanical Bow is the best bow in Palworld 1.0. It was added in the 1.0 update and outclasses every other bow for general archery thanks to its precision and firing speed. More upgraded versions become available as you progress, so the weapon keeps scaling with you rather than falling off in the mid game.
You will need the following materials to craft it.
| Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
| AI Cores | 3 |
| Soralite Ingots | 40 |
| Carbon Fibers | 20 |
| Paldium Fragments | 200 |
Best Pals for a bow and arrow party
The bow build lives and dies by its Partner Skills. Each Pal below changes how your arrows behave, and their effects stack, so a single volley can be boosted, explosive, and fired from stealth all at once. The values grow as you upgrade each skill, so the numbers listed are the minimum you can expect.
| Pal | Partner Skill | Effect on your archery |
|---|---|---|
| Loomen | Lantern Enchantment | Arrows explode on contact for at least 15% extra damage. |
| Robinquill Terra | Master Archer | Lowers bow charge speed by at least 15%. Regular Robinquill works too. |
| Hoodle | Void-Dweller | Arrows deal at least 50% more damage to enemies not yet fighting you. |
| Solenne | Untainted Maiden | Boosts your attack damage from 30% up to 80%. |
| Leezpunk | Too Cool to be Seen | Turns you invisible for 10 to 20 seconds depending on upgrades. |
| Snugloo | Invisible Eye | Keeps you undetected longer, but only works alongside Leezpunk. |

How to combine the Pals for each playstyle
You do not have to run every Pal at once. Pick the combination that matches how you want to fight, then swap pieces in and out as needed.
Sniping from a distance
Lead with Hoodle so your first shot on an unaware target lands with a heavy bonus, then let Solenne raise your baseline damage across the whole fight. Loomen adds an explosion to every hit, and Robinquill Terra keeps your charge time short so you can fire again quickly. This core covers most combat.
Stealth and disruption
Bring Leezpunk to go invisible for up to 20 seconds, which pairs naturally with Hoodle’s bonus against enemies that are not yet aware of you. Add Snugloo to extend that invisibility window. Remember that Snugloo only functions when Leezpunk is also in the party, so slot them together or not at all.
Tip: Loomen belongs in the party whether you snipe or sneak, since exploding arrows add value in both approaches. Solenne is the other near-universal pick because its attack boost applies to your arrows regardless of range.
Once the Mechanical Bow is crafted and your party is built around Solenne and Loomen, you have a loadout that stays effective from the mid game into the endgame. Upgrade the bow as newer versions unlock and level your Partner Skills to push the explosion, charge speed, and damage bonuses toward their higher values.
