Palworld 1.0: Where to Find Every New Rare Resource

Exact locations, tools, and drop conditions for Soralite, Paloxite, World Tree Holy Water, and the other 1.0 materials.

Exact locations, tools, and drop conditions for Soralite, Paloxite, World Tree Holy Water, and the other 1.0 materials.

The 1.0 update brought a fresh batch of crafting materials to Palworld, and most of them sit behind the two new regions, Sunreach and the World Tree. A few also require a specific tool before the deposits will break. Here is exactly where each new rare resource lives, what you need to gather it, and how to confirm you have it.

Quick answer: Soralite spawns on the floating islands south of the map and Paloxite spawns near the Dusty Ravine Watchtower in the World Tree — both need the Plasma Multicutter. World Tree Holy Water and Ancient Civilization Core come from defeating Pals and bosses, while Hardwood and Mythical Wood are chopped from specific trees.

Soralite on the southern floating islands

Soralite is a new blue-colored ore. It only appears on one of the floating islands toward the southern edge of the map, so you will need a way to reach that area before you can mine it.

Regular pickaxes will not touch these deposits. Unlock the Plasma Multicutter from the Technology tab first, then aim the tool at the rock to break it and collect the ore.

Paloxite in the World Tree

Paloxite is exclusive to the World Tree region. Head east until you reach the Dusty Ravine Watchtower, and look for deposits out in the open. They stand out because of their pink glow.

As with Soralite, you need the Plasma Multicutter to harvest Paloxite. Focus the tool on the glowing rock to break it apart.

World Tree Holy Water

World Tree Holy Water is a brand-new crafting item used in several endgame recipes, and it is the simplest of the 1.0 materials to start collecting. You receive some the moment you first enter the World Tree biome.

To build up a larger supply, defeat the Pals that live inside the biome. Holy Water only drops there, so there is no need to search other regions.

Mythical Wood and Hardwood

Both new wood types come from cutting down trees rather than mining. Mythical Wood grows in the forest directly south of the Dusty Ravine Watchtower. The area is full of trees that yield it, and you may occasionally find loose pieces along the path as you explore. As long as you stay in that region, gathering plenty is straightforward.

Hardwood is a tougher variant of ordinary wood, and it appears in older areas too. Sakurajima is covered with Hardwood trees, and you will also find them across the new Sunreach Islands. If you are a newer player without access to Sunreach or the World Tree yet, stick to Sakurajima for a reliable source.

Ancient Civilization Core from bosses

Ancient Civilization Core is required for crafting Ancient Technology items. The reliable way to earn it is through boss fights, since every boss you defeat awards the material.

If you are still early in your run, prioritize leveling so you can take on stronger bosses. Higher-tier fights make farming the Core far quicker.

Note: These are the materials tied directly to the 1.0 areas and quests. Older rare resources such as Pure Quartz, Ancient Civilization Parts, and Beautiful Flower still exist as before, but the six above are the ones the update introduced or reshaped around Sunreach and the World Tree.
