Pass or Explode is a fast tag-style party game on Roblox built around a single ticking bomb. Everyone spawns on a small platform ringed by lava, and each round hands one random player a bomb that goes off in 10 seconds. Hold it when the timer runs out and you are eliminated, so your only job is to tag someone else and make the problem theirs.
Quick answer: Avoid the bomb holder every round until only two players are left, then use Left Mouse Button to kick your opponent off the platform. The last player standing wins the match.

How a match plays out
A server holds up to 12 players, and the whole match is a chain of short rounds. When a round begins, the game picks one player at random and gives them the bomb. That player has 10 seconds to tag another person and transfer it. Everyone else spreads out and tries not to be the one who gets touched.
If the timer hits zero while you are holding the bomb, you explode and get sent back to the lobby. The next round then starts with the bomb going to one of the remaining players, and this repeats until just two people are left.
The final round changes the goal completely. Instead of passing a bomb, the last two players fight to knock each other off the arena. Whoever stays on the platform wins the match.
Rounds are short by design, usually about 10 to 12 seconds each. Even a full 12-player server wraps up in roughly two minutes, so matches move quickly and one careless second can end your run.

| Action | Input |
|---|---|
| Movement | W, A, S, D |
| Jump | Spacebar |
| Kick | Left Mouse Button (final round only) |
Every player moves at the same walk speed and there is no sprint button. What keeps the bomb holder dangerous is the small size of the arena. As a holder, you can read where a target is walking and cut off their path. As a runner, you can try to steer the holder toward someone else so the bomb lands on them instead of you.
Earning Coins
Coins are the main currency, and you earn more the longer you survive in a match. Surviving to the final round pays out far better than exploding early. You spend Coins on Abilities, bomb skins, and effects.
Beyond regular matches, Daily and Weekly Quests are the steadiest way to stack Coins. They reset on their own daily and weekly schedules, so you can complete them repeatedly for a reliable income on top of what you win in the arena.
Abilities and how they change a match
Abilities are the only purchases that affect whether you win. Each one either boosts your own stats or works against other players, and you can only equip one Ability type per match. Because of that limit, pick the one that fits your playstyle before you queue.
Abilities come out of Ability Crates bought with Coins. The two crate tiers pull from the same pool but with different odds, so the Rare crate is far more likely to hand you the harder-to-get options.
| Ability | Basic Ability Crate (1600 Coins) | Rare Ability Crate (3400 Coins) |
|---|---|---|
| Runner | 46% | 15% |
| Silent | 36% | 30% |
| Trap | 15% | 35% |
| Radar | 3% | 20% |

Skins and Kill Effects
Bomb skins and effects are cosmetic only, so they never help you win. It makes sense to buy all of your Abilities first, then spend leftover Coins on looks. Skins change how your bomb appears, while Kill Effects trigger a visual when you pass the bomb to someone who then gets eliminated. The Balloon effect, for example, sends the eliminated player floating away instead of exploding in the usual way.
| Crate | Cost |
|---|---|
| Basic Skin Crate | 400 Coins |
| Basic Effect Crate | 500 Coins (or 8 Robux) |
| Rare Skin Crate | 1600 Coins |
| Rare Effect Crate | 2200 Coins |
| Epic Effect Crate | 3500 Coins |
| Epic Skin Crate | 4000 Coins |
Redeem codes for free Coins and crates
Codes hand you Coins and crates without grinding matches. Enter them exactly as written, since they are case-sensitive. These are the working codes:
| Code | Reward |
|---|---|
| 100MVISITS | 1000 Coins |
| FREECOINS | 150 Coins |
| FREECRATE | Basic Effect Crate |
If a code fails, check for a typo first. Newly released codes can also take a few minutes to work across every server, so leave the game and rejoin before trying again. A code that still refuses to work has likely expired.
The game is free to play, so the fastest way to improve is simply to survive longer each round, bank Coins, and unlock your Abilities before spending on cosmetics. Keep an eye on where the bomb is at all times, and remember that when you reach the last two players, staying alive means kicking your rival off the platform first.
