During Part 1 of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Eshmel does not talk to the Flame Lords directly. The protagonist appears as a bird, and feeding the Pale Raven is the only way to raise Eshmel’s Support Level with each character. Every Flame Lord asks a different set of prompts, and each one has a single correct reaction.

Each session presents three prompts drawn from that character’s pool. Pick the listed reaction for the exact line you see. Getting all three right in one sitting is what turns a standard feeding into Perfect Bird Time.

What Perfect Bird Time does
Answering all three prompts correctly awards Perfect Bird Time, which raises the character’s Support Level with Eshmel by more than a regular feeding would. Higher support matters beyond the interactions themselves. It feeds into Support Salvation, the mechanic that lets Eshmel step in during combat.
On tactical battle maps, Eshmel can block an attack that would otherwise be fatal to a unit. During clashes, when your party’s total HP runs low, there is a chance Eshmel wipes out the enemies. The odds of either rescue scale with the support level you build, so consistent Perfect Bird Time results directly improve those chances.
Feeding limits and switching Flame Lords
The Pale Raven may be fed once per game week. Missing a session or choosing the wrong response delays your support progress, so feed it whenever that option appears to keep Eshmel’s support from lagging behind the rest of the cast.
Take the perch back to the Obelisk Chamber. Once there, choose any other Flame Lord and feed the Pale Raven when that character’s opportunity becomes available, distributing the group’s weekly feedings over time.
After the three prompts, Idle Time begins. You can move around the character and sing, but none of it changes the Support Level. It is optional flavor, so once you have locked in all three correct reactions, the support gain is already secured.
