The Plague Halberd is a rare-tier polearm tucked away in the Cursed Swamps biome of Windrose, carrying a base attack value of 380 and falling into the B weapon category. It's tied to the game's enchanting system, meaning crafting and upgrading it both require Ingot Arborum alongside more common materials.

Where to find the Plague Halberd
The weapon sits on the skeletal remains of a pirate outside an ancient ruins POI in the Cursed Swamps. The area is hostile territory filled with infected plants and plague-touched creatures, so bandages and a decent mid-game loadout are worth bringing before you head in.
Once you arrive at the ruins, sweep the perimeter rather than rushing into the main structure. The pickup is hidden among several identical-looking skeletal piles, and only one of them contains the halberd.
Step 1: Fast travel or sail to the Cursed Swamps and make your way to the ancient ruins POI. Stock bandages and keep an eye out for Plague Crocodiles along the route.

Step 2: Circle the ruins and examine the old skeletons near flowerbeds, inside crypts, and within the Tainted Ruins area. Each one prompts an interact option when approached.
Step 3: Loot each skeleton until the Plague Halberd appears in the reward window. Picking it up automatically unlocks the crafting recipe for future copies.

Weapon stats and special ability
At rare rarity, the Plague Halberd deals 380 base attack damage and is classified as a B-tier weapon by in-game grading. Its defining perk only activates once you push the weapon to Epic rarity through upgrades: the special attack restores 35% of your maximum health on use, which turns it into a sustain tool in prolonged fights against plague enemies.
The weapon can be upgraded up to level 15, with each tier from 11 onward requiring additional Ingot Arborum on top of the standard materials.
Crafting recipe
After unlocking the blueprint, the Plague Halberd can be crafted at a workbench. The rare version uses basic metalwork materials plus Ingot Arborum, the enchanted metal produced at the Enchanting Table. Upgrading the crafted weapon to Epic rarity roughly doubles the material cost and adds more Ingot Arborum.
| Rarity | Wood | Copper Ingot | Ingot Arborum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rare (craft) | 10 | 3 | 3 |
| Epic (upgrade) | 20 | 4 | 10 |

How to get Ingot Arborum
Ingot Arborum is the main bottleneck for every Plague weapon, including the Halberd, Plague Pistol, Rapier of Devastation, and Arboris Saber. It's produced only at the Enchanting Table, which itself unlocks after you reach the Cursed Swamps and process Plague Wood.
Step 1: Chop Tainted Trees inside Plague Wood zones of the Cursed Swamp, or kill Plague Crocodiles, to gather Plague Wood.

Step 2: Smelt the Plague Wood into Essence Arborum at a Smelting Furnace or Large Smelting Furnace. This also unlocks the Enchanting Table recipe.
Step 3: Build the Enchanting Table from the Refining section of the Building Menu. It requires 3 Mire Metal Ingots, 10 Hewn Stone, 10 Plant Fiber, and 2 Essence Arborum.

Step 4: At the Enchanting Table, combine 1 Mire Metal Ingot, 2 Essence Arborum, and 1 Tainted Bile to produce 1 Ingot Arborum.

Tainted Bile drops from Plague Crocodiles in the Cursed Swamps, and Quagmire Powder, needed for Mire Metal Ingots, comes from low-level plague enemies in the same biome. Both are the slowest materials to accumulate, so clearing crocodile spawns repeatedly is the most efficient loop.
Full upgrade cost to level 15
Taking a Plague weapon from level 11 to 15 consumes roughly 40 Ingot Arborum in total across upgrades. That translates to 40 Mire Metal Ingot, 80 Essence Arborum, and 40 Tainted Bile purely for the enchanted component, before you factor in the Wood and Copper Ingot costs on each tier.
If the 35% heal on special attack is the build you're aiming for, budget for at least one full upgrade cycle's worth of crocodile farming before committing materials to the halberd.
