Project Slayers 2: Best PvP Build for Demon Characters

The clan, fighting style, Blood Demon Art, weapon, and gear picks that hold up in duels, plus where the points go.

Demon PvP in Project Slayers 2 rewards a fairly narrow set of picks. Duels come down to who can counter, who can extend a combo, and who still has stamina left when the other player’s block breaks. The loadout below is built around exactly that.

Quick answer: Run the Kamado clan, Soryu fighting style, and Shockwave Blood Demon Art with sickles or war fans, then spend skill points on health, damage, stamina, stamina regen, and block.

Nothing here is locked behind a single breathing style, since demons build around Blood Demon Arts rather than breathing. The clan and the fighting style do most of the heavy lifting, and the gear is mostly a damage-stacking exercise on top of them.

Kamado clan for health regen and max HP

Kamado is the clan to chase for PvP. It stacks health regeneration and a higher maximum HP pool, which is the difference between surviving a dropped combo and getting deleted for it. Its passive list includes Sun Immunity, Adaptive Breathing, and Regen Adrenal, and it also brings Indomitable Will and Combat Intuition into the kit.

If Kamado does not roll, two clans cover the gap. Soyama comes with its own counter skill, a large damage factor boost, a free combo extender stun, and extra damage once your HP drops low, which makes it the closest thing to a straight substitute. Rengoku leans the other way with fire damage, burn effects, and fire resistance, and it is the highest DPS clan overall.

Keep a clan that matches the content you actually play. A reliable passive you can build around beats rerolling for a rarer one with no plan attached to it.

Soryu fighting style for the counter

Soryu is the PvP pick among fighting styles, and it is almost entirely because of its counter. Against players who open with the same approach every time, a counter turns their first commitment into your first combo. It is optional if you only farm bosses and mobs, but in duels it is the tool you will lean on most.

Blood Demon Arts for PvP: Shockwave, Dream, and Arrow

Shockwave is the default. Its combo moves chain cleanly and it carries its own counter mechanic, which pairs well with Soryu rather than overlapping with it. Dream and Arrow are the other two worth running, and Reaper has a usable move set if you prefer its rhythm.

Blood is on the list for a nerf, so it is a poor place to sink resources right now even though it has been strong.

Best PvP weapons: Sickles, war fans, and gauntlets

Sickles and war fans are the two weapon classes that stand out for duels. Both give you fast, reliable confirms rather than slow swings you have to gamble on, which matters when the opponent has a dodge and a block available at all times.

Gauntlets are the third option and they exist for one reason, which is their guard-break behavior. Against a player who blocks on reaction, breaking the guard opens a window that sickles have to earn some other way. They are a situational answer, not a general-purpose pick.

Weapon tiers matter as much as the class. Damascus Sickles are the version worth equipping once you can get them, and they carry over into PvE without any changes to the rest of the build.

Accessories that add damage

Accessories are the simplest part of the build. Prioritize anything tagged Class: Duelist, because that class raises damage directly instead of handing you a conditional bonus. Duelist pieces come with either +1 or +2 Additional Damage, and the +2 version always wins when two pieces are otherwise comparable.

AccessoryClassBonus
Red Oni MaskDuelist+2 Additional Damage
Nichirin LanternDuelist+2 Additional Damage
Bamboo muzzle maskDuelistNezuko drop, roughly 3%
Flame Haori Style 1Technician1.07x Additional Damage Factor

Dungeon masks are the easiest route to a full Duelist set, since almost all of them carry the class. The Red Oni Mask and the Nichirin Lantern occupy different slots, so they stack rather than compete. On the demon side, the Demonic Lantern and Stone Haori also show up in a working PvP inventory alongside those masks.

Flame Haori Style 1 is Technician rather than Duelist, and its 1.07x Additional Damage Factor multiplies off everything else you have built. It only pulls ahead once your base stats are already high, so do not chase Technician pieces early.

Nightfall and Firstlight armor mix

Armor comes down to two sets. Nightfall is the higher tier and the Nightfall Top, Bottom, and Mask are the three pieces to aim for. Firstlight sits a tier below on raw numbers, but its gear grants regeneration when you block, which is worth filling the remaining slots with if you play defensively.

Open the Archives menu to compare the tier stats directly before you commit materials. The entries list each piece’s class and its damage values, so you can check whether a Firstlight slot is actually costing you output or just trading a little damage for block regeneration.

Skill tree points for PvP

The skill tree spreads across defensive stats and offensive nodes, and PvP wants both. Stamina is the one people underspend on, since running dry mid-combo hands the fight to the other player.

  • Max Health, for surviving a dropped combo
  • Additional Damage, the main offensive stat
  • Max Stamina, so combos and dodges do not cut short
  • Stamina Regen, for faster resets between exchanges
  • Block points, which hold up your guard under pressure
  • Node-specific points in Shockwave, Soryu, Sickle, and Kamado

Those last four nodes are where the build stops being generic. Putting points into your chosen Blood Demon Art, fighting style, weapon class, and clan is what makes the individual pieces scale together rather than sitting at base values.

You can confirm everything is set correctly from the Player Info and Progression menu, which shows your demon level and current path, and from the inventory screen, where each equipped accessory displays its Additional Damage bonus. If a piece shows no bonus line, it is not a Duelist or Technician item and it is taking up a slot for nothing. Test the full set against ordinary enemies before taking it into duels, since the counter timing on Soryu and Shockwave is what the whole build hangs on.
