Project Slayers 2: Flame Breathing Trainer Location (Roblox)

Flame Trainer Rengu sits on a rooftop past the Forgotten Ruins, and here’s the route plus the entry requirements.

Flame Breathing is one of the eight breathing styles you can pick up in Project Slayers 2, and the hardest part of getting it is not the training — it’s finding the trainer. Flame Trainer Rengu does not stand in a street or a shop. He is on a rooftop, on the far side of a bridge, past a boss arena, in a corner of the map most players run straight past.

Quick answer: Flame Trainer Rengu stands on the roof of the large wooden building past the Forgotten Ruins, near the Rengu boss and the red bridge out of Mistfall Harbor.

The trainer shares his name with the Rengu boss, and that is the trick to pinning him down. Open the map, turn on boss icons, and look for the Rengu marker in the upper-right portion of the map. The trainer sits beside that same boss area, on top of the tall wooden building just past a red torii gate in the Forgotten Ruins.

Because he is on a roof rather than at ground level, you can stand directly underneath him and see nothing. Climb up and his name tag reads Flame Trainer Rengu, with a [T] Chat prompt attached.

Requirements before you make the trip

Reaching Rengu and learning Flame Breathing are two different jobs. Anyone can walk to the roof, but he only starts the training once you meet the entry conditions.

RequirementDetail
Level25
Materials10 Demon Horns
TraversalWall Climb skill node

Wall Climb is not optional here. The route includes a tall red wall and a stack of stone cliffs, and without the skill you simply cannot get to the higher ground the Forgotten Ruins sit on. Unlock it in the Skill Tree, where it sits alongside Double Jump and the health nodes.

Farm your Demon Horns before the run rather than after. Horns drop from demons, so it is far less painful to arrive at the rooftop already carrying them than to walk the whole route twice.

Set a waypoint before you run

Open the map with M and check Map Settings. Turning on Bosses, Boss names, Boss icons, Areas, and Area Names gives you enough landmarks to navigate by. Drop a custom waypoint on the Rengu boss icon and the marker will follow you on the HUD for the entire trip.

If you lose track of where you are in progression more generally, the Book of Guidance — the reward for completing Kona’s Recover the Lost Pages quest — points you at your next progression objective.

Route to the Flame Breathing trainer

Start from the Windy Peaks and Mistfall Harbor side of the map, near the NPC Mitar. Head downhill into the Wilderness area, using dash (Q) to keep pace.
Cut through the streets of Mistfall Harbor until you hit the tall red wall. Climb straight up it — the green stamina ring around your cursor tells you how much climb you have left before you drop.
Over the wall, run past the Shinora boss area. Shinora is a World Events Chest boss, so there may be a crowd fighting here. You do not need to engage; keep moving toward the long black bridge.
Cross the bridge, then drop off it into the water below and swim to the far side. This shortcut saves a long detour around the shoreline.
Climb the cliffside on the opposite bank, then keep scaling the stack of stone walls above it. This is the longest climb of the route, and it is where players without Wall Climb get stuck.
At the top you arrive in the Forgotten Ruins. Run through the ruins, passing the Rengu boss arena, and head for the red torii gate.
Through the gate is a large wooden building. Climb its wall and pull yourself onto the roof. Flame Trainer Rengu is standing up there.

How to confirm you found the right NPC

You have the correct character when the name tag above him reads Flame Trainer Rengu and the interaction prompt appears. Press T to open the dialogue, and he lays out the Demon Horn cost and the training tasks that follow. Reaching the roof does not teach you anything by itself — the style only unlocks once you meet his conditions and clear his training.

If the trainer is nowhere in sight, check your height before you check your route. Trainers in this game are regularly placed on roofs, above cliffs, or behind underwater passages. Rejoining the server also helps when an area has not loaded in properly.

Flame Breathing in the original Project Slayers

Searches for this trainer often land on the first game, where the setup is completely different. There the NPC is simply called Flame Trainer, and he stands in the streets of Wop City beside a lantern-lit building on the second map, Ouwohana. You need map access before you can reach him at all, and the cost is far steeper — 10,000 Wen and 150 Demon Horns.

Paying him is only the start. The training chain there has you drag a boulder to a marked point, complete a meditation minigame, do pushups at the training grounds, split a boulder, and finally beat the Flame Trainee, Renpeke. Only then does the moveset unlock.

Purgatory is gated behind beating the Rengoku boss even after you hit the mastery threshold. The style as a whole is built around single heavy strikes and has no ranged options, which makes it awkward for soloing Final Selection.

For Project Slayers 2 specifically, the short version is this: hit level 25, spend a skill point on Wall Climb, pocket 10 Demon Horns, and follow the bridge-and-cliff route out of Mistfall Harbor until you can climb onto that rooftop in the Forgotten Ruins.
