Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance is the first Growth Story in Aniimo, and it sits directly in the path of the main campaign. It slots in after The Unbegun Ceremony and before Fragrant Colors, so the story stops moving until you clear it. The quest exists to hand you the Resonance system, which is how Aniimo get permanent stat upgrades, along with two active skills and a passive talent.

Quick answer: Finish The Unbegun Ceremony, hit Level 25 and clear Elite Training Chapter 1, then call Dr. Lewis, beat Wally in the Sea of Flowers, pass his quiz and run one Resonance Star-Up.

Unlock requirements for Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal’s Resonance

Three gates have to be open at the same time before Dr. Lewis will call you about the promotion. Missing any one of them leaves the Growth Story greyed out in the Log menu.

  • Complete the main story quest The Unbegun Ceremony.
  • Reach Level 25 through side quests, catching Aniimo, or exploration.
  • Finish the required tasks in Elite Training Chapter One and have Dr. Lewis validate them.

Elite Training Chapter One asks for Level 25 and four required tasks. Once Dr. Lewis signs it off, the chapter opens Dewdrop Crystals of the Sea of Flowers, which is the Veinwalker Assessment this promotion runs on. Everything happens around Bloomville, the fast-travel anchor sitting in the Sea of Flowers.

Accept the Growth Story and find Wally

Open the Log menu and select the Growth Story entry for the Grade II Student promotion to start tracking it. Call Dr. Lewis to accept it. He confirms the assessment and marks your target on the map.
Open the Breezy Plains map, pick the Bloomville waypoint and fast travel there. This drops you at the edge of the lavender fields rather than making you run the whole way from the Outpost.

Follow the quest marker across the purple flower fields until you reach Wally. Talking to him triggers a cutscene in which he spots a Flutternym drifting overhead.

Examine the clues and get the Dewdrop Crystal

Walk up to the glowing spots scattered through the flower field and select Observe. Each one opens the analysis interface and logs a clue about condensed Vein energy and how it affects Flutternym.

Flutternym is the Wind creature the whole investigation revolves around. It hides when it senses danger, but the fluorescent scales it sheds always give away its position, which is exactly the trail you are reading in the field.

Click every clue prompt that appears on screen, then speak to Wally again. He sends you back to Dr. Lewis for confirmation.
Call Dr. Lewis. He identifies what you picked up as a Dewdrop Crystal and the item lands in your inventory. That call is also what arms the assessment challenge against Wally.

Beat Wally in the Lv. 25 assessment duel

This is the only combat check in the quest, and it is a Pathfinder Challenge rather than a wild encounter. Build your team before you talk to him, because the duel starts immediately once you confirm.

Wally’s badge is named after Spring of Life, a Water skill that drops a circular healing zone and restores 36 percent of the caster’s Max HP over 6 seconds to allies standing inside it. Damage that lands fast beats damage that trickles.

Interact with Wally and choose Start Duel. The arena loads straight away and your active Aniimo is locked to whatever you had equipped.

Work through Twirly, Gracewing and Leafy with your counter elements. Helion handles the fight comfortably here, and transforming lets you close out the last opponent quickly.
Win the battle. The Battle Won screen appears, you are returned to the flower field, and a cutscene plays in which Wally grades the assessment at Full Marks.

Check the new skill your starter remembers

Right after the duel, Helion or Lunara tells you about an ability they have recalled. Open the Aniimo menu and look at the skill list to see it added. On Helion this is Sun-Kissed, a Holy REGEN skill on an 18 second cooldown that restores 20 EP, with [Solar Halo] pushing that to an extra 5 EP.

Pass Dr. Lewis’s quiz and become a Grade II Student

Open the map and fast travel back to the Outpost, then talk to Dr. Lewis in person. He moves straight into the written half of the assessment.
Answer the timed multiple-choice questions about Aniimo exploration and training. Every question has to be answered correctly to continue, and picking All of the Above clears the set.
Accept the promotion. Your rank changes to Grade II Student and the Talents tree opens with the newly unlocked skills and passive perks available to inspect.

Perform the Resonance Star-Up to finish the quest

Talk to Dr. Lewis one more time and he explains what Dewdrop Crystals are for. They are the material behind Resonance, the permanent upgrade track that lives in an Aniimo’s Training screen under Resonance Star-Up. The final objective is simply to run one Star-Up.

Open any Aniimo’s Training screen, select Resonance Star-Up, and spend the regional Dewdrop Crystals shown on the panel. Gains are fixed rather than rolled, so the game shows exactly what you get before you confirm. The first Star-Up costs 20 regional Dewdrop Crystals and pays out ATK +10 and BREAK +5.

The second half of Resonance, Ascension, is not part of this quest. It gates behind Aniimo level, starting at Lv 35, and costs elemental stones on top of crystals to grant percentage bonuses to ATK, BREAK and HP. You can safely ignore it until later.

Rewards and how to confirm completion

RewardType
Gravity PullActive skill, Control
Mega MalletActive skill, Melee
Boss BreakerPassive talent
World Aniimo Level UpProgression unlock
Report Card +4Rank progress

Mega Mallet runs on a 15 second cooldown with 25.94 power, while Gravity Pull has no cooldown and no EP cost, which makes it a cheap opener for grouping enemies. Both show up in the Talents tree alongside Boss Breaker once the promotion lands.

You know the quest is done when your player title reads Grade II Student, the two active skills and Boss Breaker are selectable in the Talents tree, and the Growth Story entry clears out of the Log. With that behind you, Fragrant Colors becomes available back in the Sea of Flowers and the main story picks up again.
