Protect the Border Classes Ranked: Every Class Tier List (August 2026)

Every unlockable class sorted by health, weapons, and how long it keeps you alive during night raids.

Every unlockable class sorted by health, weapons, and how long it keeps you alive during night raids.

In Protect the Border, the class you equip decides how well you survive the nightly bandit raids on your toll gate. Each class comes with a set health pool, a primary weapon, and a secondary weapon, and stronger classes cost more Gold or Robux to unlock. The ranking below sorts every current class into four tiers so you can see which ones carry you the longest.

Quick answer: Juggernaut is the strongest class overall with 250 HP, an M249, and a Desert Eagle. Spetsnaz is the best Gold-purchasable class at 8,000 Gold, with 200 HP, a Groza, and a CZ75.

Full class tier list

This ranking reflects the class roster as of the August 2026 build. Placement weighs total HP, weapon strength, combat effectiveness against night attackers, and how much value each class returns for its cost.

ASOS Operator, FBI Specialist, Ghillie Sniper, Field Medic, Black Ops
BFrog Man, Hazmat, SWAT, Customs Officer, Senior Agent
CHazmat Soldier, Pyromaniac, Patrol Agent, Rookie

S-tier classes and stats

These three combine the highest health pools with the game’s best weapons, so they hold the gate the longest once night falls. Juggernaut sits at the top on raw HP, but Spetsnaz and Special Forces are the strongest picks you can buy with Gold alone.

A-tier classes and stats

A-tier classes carry you from the mid-game into the end-game. They pair solid health with reliable weapons at a price that most players can reach after a few runs. FBI Specialist and Black Ops are the standouts here because their Gold cost is reasonable for the firepower you get.

Black Ops3,000 Gold145TAR 21Colt 1911

Field Medic is the odd one out. Its FAMAS is capable, but the Medkit secondary trades stopping power for healing, which suits players who want to stay in a run longer rather than out-shoot every raider.

B-tier classes and stats

B-tier classes are the mid-game workhorses. They give you enough health and weapon control to learn the timing of night raids without overspending. Senior Agent and Customs Officer are the cheapest way to move past the starter loadout.

C-tier classes

C-tier covers the entry-level and low-value classes. Rookie is the free starter with 110 HP and no primary weapon, and Patrol Agent is the first cheap upgrade at 100 Gold. Hazmat Soldier and Pyromaniac are premium classes, but their stats trail cheaper Gold options, which keeps them low here.

How to unlock classes and earn Gold

Regular classes are bought with Gold, while premium classes require Robux. You earn Gold by completing runs, claiming daily rewards, and redeeming codes in the Shop. If you want to reach Spetsnaz, the strongest non-premium option, plan for the 8,000 Gold price and grind runs or bank daily rewards over several sessions.

Note: When you buy a class, its loadout appears in the Shop and can be equipped before your next run. Check that your equipped class shows the correct HP and weapons before the raid begins so you know the purchase went through.

If you are just starting out, work up through the Gold classes in order of price. Each step raises your HP and hands you a stronger primary weapon, so progression through the tiers is steady rather than gated behind one expensive jump.
