Rengoku is a Supreme family in Slayers 2, and the whole kit is built around fire. It raises your health and stamina pool, adds a flat damage multiplier, sets enemies alight with your basic attacks, and gives you a burning aura mode that punishes anyone who swings at you. Nothing in the stat line is conditional, which is why it is treated as an S-Tier roll for Katana and Flame Breathing builds.
Quick answer: Rengoku is a Supreme clan that grants +185 Max Health, +125 Max Stamina and a 26% Additional Damage Factor, plus igniting M1s, +20% weapon mastery and the Heart Ablaze mode.
Rengoku clan stats in Slayers 2
These values apply the moment the clan is equipped, in PvE, boss fights and PvP alike. There is no activation cost and no style requirement attached to them.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Max Health | +185 |
| Max Stamina | +125 |
| Additional Damage Factor | 26% |
| Damage Reduction | +2 |
| Damage Reduction Factor | 6% |
The 26% Additional Damage Factor is the headline number, and it stacks on top of whatever your style, mastery and weapon already produce. The extra health and stamina matter more early on, since they fund longer combo strings and give you more room to survive a mistake.

Add to Google Preferences →Rengoku passives: Ignition Hit, Master Swordsman and Status Immunity
Four passives run permanently. They are the reason the family suits aggressive melee play rather than a single burst window.
- Ignition Hit — the first M1 of each new combo string sets the target burning for 3 seconds. Burns do not stack.
- Master Swordsman — Katana and weapon mastery increase by 20%.
- Pain Resistance — you are not slowed when your health is low.
- Status Immunity reduces Flame damage taken by 50% and grants immunity to Indomitable Will.
Ignition Hit is the passive that changes how you fight. Basic attacks stop being filler between abilities, because every fresh string applies burn tick damage on its opening swing. That raises the floor of your output even when your combos drop early.
Status Immunity also blanks one of the most common crowd-control tools in the game, since Indomitable Will simply does not land on you.

Heart Ablaze mode and Indomitable Will
Heart Ablaze is the clan mode and the part most players roll for. While it is up, a flame aura burns anyone who hits you for 2% of their own Max Health per second over 3 seconds, turning an opponent’s committed combo into free damage for you. On top of the reflection you gain +18% Additional Damage Factor, +5% Movement Speed Factor, +5% Stamina Regen Speed and +20% Burn Damage Factor.
Indomitable Will is the clan’s control option, and its result depends on the input. Tap it to send out a burst that pushes nearby enemies away, briefly stuns them and inflicts Fear, slowing both their movement and dash. Hold the input to create a much larger zone at your position; enemies caught inside stay stunned for as long as they remain there, then are stunned again when they exit.

Best breathing style for Rengoku: Flame Breathing
Flame Breathing is the natural pairing, because Ignition Hit extends its burn to specific moves rather than only to basic attacks. Purgatory, Flame Undulation, Flame Tiger and Blazing Universe all apply burn while the clan is equipped, and the +20% Burn Damage Factor from Heart Ablaze multiplies that damage further.
The clan is not locked to that style, though. The health, stamina and damage factor bonuses are style-agnostic, and Master Swordsman benefits any Katana or weapon build, so a Rengoku roll is never wasted on a character you have already invested in.

Rengoku roll rate and how to secure the pull
Clans are rolled with spins, and Rengoku sits in the Supreme bracket at 0.1% per spin. That works out to roughly one Supreme result per 1,000 spins on average, and Rengoku specifically is rarer still, since it shares the bracket with the other Supreme families. The full rarity spread is Common 60%, Uncommon 23%, Rare 12%, Legendary 4%, Mythic 0.9% and Supreme 0.1%.

Do not reroll a Rengoku result. At 0.1% per spin it is one of the rarest outcomes in the pool, and there is no build where its stat line goes unused.
How to confirm Rengoku is working in combat
Open the clan menu and read the panel. It should show Rengoku with the Supreme tag, list Indomitable Will and Heart Ablaze under skills, and show Pain Resistance, Master Swordsman, Ignition Hit and Status Immunity under passives. If any of those entries are missing, the clan is not equipped on the slot you are playing.

In a fight, the tells are visual. Start a fresh M1 string on a boss and watch for burn ticks on the opening swing, which confirms Ignition Hit is live. Then pop Heart Ablaze and let the boss connect once — the flame aura should chip its health while the mode is running, and your damage numbers should climb as the +18% factor applies.
Once both are confirmed, rebuild your rotation around them rather than treating the clan as a passive stat stick. Rengoku rewards staying in melee range and keeping strings going, since the burn pressure and the reflection both scale with time spent trading hits rather than with a single opening burst.
