Ride a Dino
Ride a Dino Events Schedule: Halloween Island Countdown and What’s Next
Ride a Dino is heading into its busiest Halloween stretch of the year. A Meteor Storm event is live now and runs through the morning of October 25, and the moment it ends the developers open a Halloween Island Update — a brand-new area already drawing the biggest wave of interest on the current schedule.
The experience itself is among the more crowded dinosaur games on Roblox. It has drawn about 10,000,000 total visits, holds about 280,000 favorites, and usually sits around about 29,000 players at once.
The schedule above lists the live windows for every event; the sections below explain what each one adds and when it runs in Eastern Time. We update this page as Ride a Dino’s calendar changes. Last updated October 22.

Halloween Island Update (next up)
The Halloween Island Update is the marquee item on the calendar. It opens at 12:00 PM ET on October 25 — right as the Meteor Storm wraps — and runs through November 1. In other U.S. zones that start lands at 11:00 AM CT, 10:00 AM MT and 9:00 AM PT, or 16:00 UTC.
The setup: a forgotten island has surfaced out past the fog under a full moon, and it is home to dinosaurs no rider has seen before. The developers frame it as a Halloween hunt, with the rarest finds reserved for players willing to venture out and bring one home. Interest is running far ahead of anything else on the schedule — about 180,000 players have marked themselves as going, dwarfing the live Meteor Storm’s turnout.
Meteor Storm (live now)
The Meteor Storm event is the one running right now, scheduled to close at 11:00 AM ET on October 25 (about 2 days left). While it is on, a new Magma mutation quadruples income, but only for the length of the storm. Meteors rain down across the canyon, and riding through the fresh craters turns up Meteor Shards. The headline reward is a new Meteor Chest holding six exclusive dinosaurs, topped by a Divine-tier Meteorborn, and the developers have switched on admin events across every server for the run.
New Dinos (recently ended)
Just before this stretch, a smaller New Dinos drop ran from October 5 to October 12, adding a fresh batch of species to unlock. It drew a modest crowd next to the Halloween event, and the schedule has stayed busy since — Meteor Storm picked up just two days later, with the Halloween Island Update queued to follow right behind it.
