Ride A Pet, the Roblox egg-hunting and pet-riding game from the group this game is gud, now offers a way to earn tokens without hatching anything. Its Halloween area contains a timed lava obstacle course and an idle pad that pays out tokens while you stand on it. A separate event adds Admin Abuse, x2 Cash, and parkour on top. The two token activities pay in different ways, and the event boosts do not apply to tokens.

Quick answer: Cross the Lava Obby on a ground pet within 1 minute 30 seconds for 100 tokens, or stand on the AFK Zone pad to earn tokens passively. x2 Cash does not double tokens.

Both activities sit in the same themed zone, and both have a sign that states the reward. One pays a fixed amount for a skill check. The other pays slowly for doing nothing.

Neither activity requires a gamepass. That is why the update gets described as “free tokens.” The Lava Obby entrance sign reads “LAVA OBBY EARN 100 TOKENS READY!” when a run is available. The AFK pad sits beneath a sign reading “AFK ZONE EARN TOKENS.”

If you want to check the zone yourself, the game’s official Roblox experience page launches it on desktop, console, mobile, and tablet.

Lava Obby: a 90-second run for 100 tokens

The Grim Reaper NPC starts the Lava Obby. He stands by the course entrance and states the terms directly: “Cross the lava in 1m 30s for 100 tokens.” Accepting puts you on the course with the clock already running.

During a run, a countdown sits at the top of the screen next to a +100 token icon. That pairing is the clearest sign that the challenge is active and that the payout is tied to the clock. The timer starts at the full 90 seconds and counts down from there.

The course is pure Halloween set dressing. Floating green platforms hover over molten lava. Giant skull structures and bone bridges link the middle section, and red wooden archways and open skull mouths frame the later jumps. It is a single route from the entrance to the far side, with no branching paths.

Ground pet requirement

The game requires a ground pet for the Lava Obby. Flying mounts such as the Dragon or Phoenix, which would otherwise skip the course entirely, are not allowed. Every crossing is a real jump between platforms on a pet that walks.

Because the platforms are small, landings near the edge tend to slide you off into the lava. Aiming for the center of each platform is the safer line. The 90-second limit leaves enough room for careful, measured movement, so rushing costs more than it saves.

AFK Zone: passive tokens on a timer

The AFK Zone is a glowing orange circular pad in the same Halloween area. Standing inside the circle earns tokens passively, with no input required. While you are on the pad, an on-screen timer counts down toward the next payout. That timer is how you confirm the zone is working.

The two activities fit together without overlap. The Lava Obby pays a lump sum whenever you are ready to make an attempt. The AFK pad covers the downtime between attempts, or any stretch when you are away from the keyboard.

Parkour Racing event, Admin Abuse, and x2 Cash

The event announcement packages admin abuse, double cash, and parkour together. That lines up with Ride A Pet’s official Roblox event listings, which have tracked two back-to-back windows this month. The experience currently carries the title [🎃EVENT] Ride A Pet.

The Halloween event’s listed window closed at 13:00 UTC on October 17th. The follow-up event, still titled only “???” with the subtitle Really Cool Update, was listed to open at that same moment and run until 13:00 UTC on October 24th. Its start had been moved one day earlier than originally scheduled. The developer has not published a changelog for either window, so the event listings are the only official record of what each one includes.

X2 Cash doubles cash only. Token rewards from the Lava Obby and the AFK Zone stay the same during the boost.

Ride A Pet still has no verified working codes, so the Lava Obby and the AFK Zone remain the free ways to collect tokens. One pays 100 tokens for 90 careful seconds on a ground pet. The other pays for patience, and neither earns more because of the event’s cash boost.
