Kyokushin sits in the Legendary tier of Gakuran’s fighting styles, and it plays nothing like the fast, evasive options in the same bracket. Instead of dodging around an opponent, it soaks damage, chips away at guards, and pays you back for blocking well. That makes it strong in extended trades and weak the moment someone refuses to stand still.
Quick answer: Kyokushin gives you four perks — Iron Body, Guard Pierce V (MAX), Obsidian Skeleton, and Counterstrike. You take 15% less damage from every source, push 30% chip damage through an enemy block, and gain 5% bonus damage on your next hit after a perfect block. It is a Legendary roll at a 0.20% chance, and each fighting style reroll costs 3 Robux.
Kyokushin perks and what each one does
All four perks pull in the same direction, which is unusual for a legendary roll. Two of them keep you alive, one pressures blocking opponents, and one rewards clean defensive timing.
| Perk | Effect |
|---|---|
| Iron Body | Absorbs strikes during your windup and converts them into extra damage on the attack you are throwing |
| Guard Pierce V (MAX) | 30% block chip damage bleeds through guard |
| Obsidian Skeleton | You receive 15% less damage from all sources |
| Counterstrike | +5% damage on your next attack after perfect blocking |

Guard Pierce V is the same maximum-rank version carried by Slugger and Muay Thai, so Kyokushin is not unique on that front. What separates it is stacking that guard pressure on top of a flat 15% damage reduction, which no other style in the list offers.

Add to Google Preferences →Kyokushin combo, range, and critical attack
The M1 string is a four-hit sequence with a noticeable pause before the final hit lands. That gap is not cosmetic. It gives an alert opponent a window to block or step out, so mashing the full combo into a defending player rarely closes a round on its own.
Reach is the other constraint. Kyokushin’s strikes cover less ground than longer-armed styles such as Alley, so you have to commit to standing in the pocket rather than poking from the edge of range.

The critical attack is the clearest weakness. It comes out slowly and telegraphs itself, and a single dash is usually enough for an opponent to leave the hitbox and punish the recovery. Treat it as a finisher for staggered or cornered targets rather than an opener.
Note: Iron Body only pays off while you are actively winding up an attack. Standing still and absorbing hits without swinging gets you the 15% reduction from Obsidian Skeleton, but none of the return damage.
Best character build for Kyokushin
Kyokushin suits tall character builds far better than short ones. Taller characters trade a larger hitbox for harder hits, and a larger hitbox matters much less when you already take 15% less damage from everything. Short builds lean on quick attacks and a smaller profile, which pushes them toward evasive styles that Kyokushin’s toolkit does not support.

Height, age, and the other personal stats do not change your moveset. They only shift the small margins around damage and hitbox size, so a tall Kyokushin character is a preference for the style’s trading game, not a requirement to use it.
How Kyokushin performs in PvP duels
Because the style has short reach, the fight starts with you walking into range. Sprinting in and immediately throwing the M1 string is the reliable opener, since waiting at mid-range gives faster styles a free first hit.

Once you are inside, the style holds up well. Trading hits is the point, and Guard Pierce V means a turtling opponent still loses health while blocking. Perfect blocks then feed Counterstrike, so timed defense converts directly into extra damage on your next swing.

The losses come from the same two places every time. Opponents who keep dashing out of range stall the whole gameplan, and anyone who has learned the critical attack’s startup will simply dash through it and counter. Kyokushin has no passive evasion or dash bonus to answer that, unlike Capoeira’s shortened dash cooldown.
How to reroll for Kyokushin in Gakuran
You cannot pick a fighting style. Every roll is random, and Kyokushin sits in the Legendary bracket at a 0.20% chance, alongside Capoeira, Wrestling, Kure, and Hakari. Expect a long grind.
You will know it worked when the profile screen lists Kyokushin under your character’s name and the Rerolls counter ticks up by one. If the reroll button does not respond at all, that is usually a server region issue rather than a failed requirement.
Kyokushin rewards players who are comfortable standing in front of someone and absorbing hits, and it punishes anyone hoping for a fast, safe legendary. If you would rather control space than eat damage, the same tier offers Capoeira’s mobility or Wrestling’s grabs instead.
