Base Wars is a team-versus-team shooter that has been running on Roblox since 2009, built by D8Dev. Matches play out across large maps like The Land, where two teams fight over facilities, vehicle depots, and each other’s flag. It is bigger and slower than most Roblox shooters, and the players who do well are usually the ones who understand the spawn menu and the vehicle pads rather than the ones with the best aim.
Quick answer: Pick a map in the lobby, deploy from the Spawn Page, spawn a vehicle from a spawner pad, then stand in a facility capture point or grab the enemy flag and return it to your own flag stand.
Joining a Base Wars match and deploying
Everything starts in the Game Lobby menu, where you choose a map before the server loads. The Land (2 Teams) is the standard two-team option and the one most public servers run.

The Spawn Page reopens every time you are eliminated, so treat each death as a chance to pick a spawn closer to the fight instead of redeploying on autopilot.

Add to Google Preferences →Editing loadouts and Battle Score requirements
The Edit Loadouts button on the Spawn Page opens the Infantry Loadouts menu. Left-clicking a weapon equips it into the selected slot, and right-clicking clears that slot. Most weapons carry a Battle Score requirement, so the menu doubles as a progression list — you can see what you have access to and what is still locked.

Battle Score comes from contributing, not just from kills. Assists, eliminations, headshots, capturing objectives, and flag plays all award points, which is why supporting a push often pays better than hunting for solo fights across the map.
Weapons are grouped into clear categories, and knowing which group covers which range is most of the work:
- Assault rifles and carbines, SMGs, LMGs, chainguns, shotguns, snipers, and pistols for infantry fights.
- Rocket launchers, lock-on rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and flamethrowers for vehicles and grouped targets.
- Deployable machine gun turrets, landmines, C4, mortars, and the Supply Camp Builder as utility and area control.
- Knives and fists for melee, which cost no ammo.
Armor works as a straight trade. Mobility-focused suits keep you fast and are better for flag runs and facility grabs, while survivability-focused suits slow you down but let you hold a capture point under fire.
How to capture a facility
Facilities are the marked points scattered between the two bases, each flagged on the map. Named examples include Underground Storage, Fortified Island, River Pass, and the team Frontline Bunkers. Capturing them is the most reliable source of objective points in a match.
Vehicle spawners: ground, air, and sea
Vehicles are spawned from dedicated pads and wall buttons inside your base rather than found on the map. Walk onto a spawner pad such as the ATV Spawner or MAC Tank Spawner and press Y to spawn the vehicle and drop into the driver seat. Some stations use purple buttons on the wall instead, which you click to spawn the matching vehicle.

Driving uses WASD and left-click to fire, and each vehicle shows its own control tooltips on screen when you take the seat.
| Vehicle | Type | Main armament |
|---|---|---|
| ATV | Ground, fast | None — transport and flag runs |
| Artillery | Ground, support | Long-range gun |
| MAC Tank | Ground, armored | Dual 35mm APHE Cannon |
| Battle Tank | Ground, armored | HEAT shells, heavy machine gun |
| Vortex Fighter | Air | 20mm machine guns, heat-seeking missiles |
| Shadow Fighter | Air | Laser Cannon, Laser Guided Missiles |
| Bomber | Air | Dropped bombs |
| Helicopter | Air | Machine guns |
Ground vehicles are the practical way to cross the map, and the underground tunnel network lets an ATV move between spawn areas and forward facilities without being shot at from the open plains. Tanks are the tool for pressuring an enemy headquarters, since their main guns damage structures and parked vehicles as well as infantry.
Aircraft spawn from hangars and elevated decks. Fighters handle enemy planes and anti-air turrets, bombers hit fixed positions, and helicopters can hover over a base and strike ground targets at close range while taking repairs from teammates. All of them despawn or crash once they take enough damage, so expect to return to a pad regularly.
Stealing and scoring the enemy flag
The flag run is the highest-value single play in a match, and the fastest version of it uses a fast vehicle rather than a tank.
Carrying the flag on foot inside the enemy base rarely works. Defenders will converge on the flag room, and being eliminated while holding it hands the point back.
Weapon unlocks, weapon ranks, and achievement weapons
New gear arrives through the Weapons Unlocked popup, which appears on the death or respawn screen when you cross a threshold. Early unlocks cover basics like Fists, Mortar, Landmine, C4, the Supply Camp Builder, and the CQC Knife-E, with later batches adding named firearms such as the AK47, Steyr AUG, DkASG-36, DkSR-50, Mosin Nagant, SVD, Makarov PB, and the Lock-On Rocket Launcher.

Individual weapons also carry their own rank, driven purely by how many kills you have with that weapon:
| Weapon rank | Kills with that weapon |
|---|---|
| D | 0–9 |
| C | 10–49 |
| B | 50–99 |
| A | 100–249 |
| S | 250–999 |
| SS | 1,000–9,999 |
| SSS | 10,000+ |
Achievement weapons hang off those same thresholds. Reaching 100 kills with a weapon earns the blue variant, and 250 kills earns the red one. Because the counter is per weapon, sticking with a single rifle or launcher for a few sessions is far more productive than rotating through everything in the loadout menu.
Dealing with spawn camping
When the enemy team parks outside your spawn, you have two workable answers. The first is to pick a different spawn point from the Spawn Page and redeploy somewhere the attackers are not watching. The second is to use the brief invulnerability of the spawn shield to push straight at the campers and eliminate them before the protection runs out.

Once you have the loop down — deploy, take a vehicle, capture a facility, then look for a flag opening — Base Wars stops feeling like a maze of tunnels and becomes a fairly readable objective game. The scoring rewards the players who stay on the objective, and the weapon progression follows from that rather than from chasing kills in isolation.
