Every round in Steal An Egg ends the same way. Night falls, a timer runs down, and anyone standing in the far biomes gets yanked back to the Safe Zone. That reset is the single biggest thing standing between you and a rare egg, because it forces the whole server to sprint from the same starting line. A handful of tricks let you skip that trip entirely, and a few others cut down how many people you are racing.
Quick answer: Stand in the biome you want to keep, cut your internet connection about five seconds before the night timer hits zero, then reconnect once the sun is back up. Your character stays put instead of being teleported to the Safe Zone. Stay offline too long and Roblox kicks you with Error Code 277.
Night teleport bypass in Steal An Egg (Wi-Fi disconnect method)
The teleport is triggered on the server side when the night timer expires. If your client is not connected at that exact moment, the position update never lands on you, and you come back standing where you left. It works on PC and mobile, since all you are doing is toggling your connection.

Timing is the whole trick, and the window is narrow. Cutting the connection too early risks a normal disconnect, and holding it too long throws the Error Code 277 prompt, which ends the session and sends you back to a fresh server.
| Timing | Result |
|---|---|
| Disconnect ~5 seconds before zero, reconnect right after sunrise | Character stays in the biome, no teleport |
| Disconnect 10–15 seconds before zero | Still works, but the disconnect risk goes up |
| Offline well past sunrise | Error Code 277, kicked from the server |
| Disconnect after the timer already hit zero | Teleported to the Safe Zone as normal |
Note: network-side tricks like this are the first thing to break after an update. Test it on a round where you are not carrying anything valuable.
Window hold method on PC
There is a mouse-based version that avoids touching your network at all, though it only exists on desktop. Press F11 to leave full screen so the Roblox title bar is visible. Just before the night transition, jump and hold the spacebar, then click and hold the top window bar for around 10 seconds. Dragging the window freezes rendering long enough for the reset to pass, and you release into the same back area you were standing in.

Add to Google Preferences →Volcano reset glitch: skip the teleport without disconnecting
The Volcano model has an interior the reset does not seem to reach. Climb inside and sit there while the five-minute zone reset runs. When the timer flips, you are still in the Volcano rather than the Safe Zone, which puts you a short run from Prehistoric and the biomes past it.
That head start is the entire point. Walking out of the Volcano the second the round begins is often enough to reach a freshly spawned Prehistoric egg before anyone else is even close, including eggs in the hundreds of thousands of kilograms. It is the safer of the two skips because nothing about your connection changes.
Patched glitches in Steal An Egg
Two widely shared tricks no longer do anything, and both are still circulating. Trying them wastes a round and, in the incubator case, usually gets your egg taken.
| Method | Current status |
|---|---|
| Hiding inside the incubator in Cherry Blossom to dodge the tiger | Patched. A blocking part was added, so you cannot get into position. |
| Facing the Prehistoric wall and jumping at nightfall to skip the teleport | Does not work. You get sent back to the Safe Zone anyway. |
Wall drop, boss flipping, and getting an egg home
Grabbing an egg is easy compared to carrying it. Each biome has a guardian that chases you down and takes the egg back, and the fixes for that are all movement-based rather than exploits of a menu.
The wall drop is the most reliable. Drop the egg inside a biome’s perimeter wall and the kitsune or tiger cannot retrieve it after landing a hit, which lets you shuttle it toward spawn in slow, safe increments. Two players repeating the steal-and-drop loop inside a wall can also break the area boss outright, wedging it into the ground or knocking it out of the map.

Out in the open, two habits cover most situations. Drop the egg when a guardian closes in so it turns around and walks back, then pick the egg up and continue once it disengages. And run laterally in a zigzag instead of straight lines, weaving around bushes and terrain, since the pursuit AI struggles to land hits on a side-to-side path. Together they let you take eggs well above your recommended speed stat, which matters most in Snow, Lake, and the biomes past them.
Low-population servers and alt-filled lobbies
Steal An Egg has no official private servers, so the closest substitute is a public server nobody is in. Leave the game, open the experience page on Roblox, go to the Servers tab, and sort by Fewest Players. Skip the top few results, load another page or two, and join something listed with one or two players. An AFK player or a default “bacon” avatar is ideal, since they will not contest a spawn.

Empty servers are where Secret and Eternal eggs become realistic targets. A Secret Cerberus Egg in the Volcano or an Eternal egg in Cosmic can be walked back to the Safe Zone with zero interference, and server hopping through fresh lobbies is a decent way to find oversized eggs that have already spawned.
If you have the hardware for it, you can go further and lock the server down. Running several Roblox clients at once, through something like the BlueStacks Multi-Instance Manager, lets you sign in on alt accounts and occupy the remaining slots so random players cannot join. Once the original occupant leaves, the map is yours. It is demanding on RAM and CPU, and for most people plain server hopping gets you 90 percent of the benefit for none of the setup.
Tip: leave immediately if someone with much higher speed shows up and starts controlling the rare spawns. Dropping a server from ten players to two is a bigger win than any single trick.
Fuse Machine and Pet Index bats: what they do
The Fuse Machine takes three pets and returns a single egg. It is widely treated as a guaranteed upgrade, and it is not. Fusing raises your luck for the resulting hatch rather than promising a heavier pet, which is why three Cosmic Dragons can come back as an egg with no net weight gain at all, and why three La Vacca Saturno Saturnita pets can hatch out at 492kg. High-value results like the Bronto and the Kraken do come out of it, but they are a roll, not an outcome you can plan around.

Feed it duplicates and pets you do not need for income, and keep your strongest earners out of it. Test with weak pets first if you want a sense of the spread before committing anything expensive.
The Pet Index is the more dependable investment. Filling out a biome’s pets awards that biome’s themed baseball bat, and the bats differ in cooldown and knockback distance rather than simply improving in unlock order. The Prehistoric bat launches players noticeably farther than the Volcano bat or the default one, so a newer unlock is not automatically the better tool. Index rewards also hand out free speed boosts through Claim All, which is the fastest early upgrade on a new account.
None of these tricks stay working forever, and the disconnect method in particular is one update away from doing nothing. The parts that survive patches are the boring ones. Find a server with one or two people in it, park yourself near a high biome before the round flips, carry a bat with real knockback, and use the drop-and-zigzag routine when a guardian is on you. Stack those and the glitches become a bonus rather than the plan.
