The Storage Hunters: Open World update arrives Saturday afternoon, with a developer livestream starting an hour before it goes live.

Storage Hunters: Open World, the auction-flipping tycoon game from Absolute Zero!, is getting a content drop this weekend. The developers have posted an in-game announcement board confirming what is coming, and they have been teasing two new locations on the map ahead of the release.

Quick answer: The update goes live Saturday, September 19 at roughly 3PM ET, and a developer livestream starts at 2PM ET, an hour before the drop.

Release time: Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET

Storage Hunters update release time by timezone

Treat 3PM ET as a target rather than a hard deadline. Roblox updates often slip by a few minutes while the new version publishes across servers, and the developers described the timing as approximate.

The experience page also carries a “Next Update” event listing with a notify option, which is the simplest way to get a ping on the Roblox app when the drop lands.

What the update includes

The announcement screen inside the shop spells out three things, and nothing more specific has been confirmed beyond that. Anything past this list is still a tease rather than a promise.

  • New content added to the open world
  • New auction items to win and resell
  • Bug fixes

New auction items matter more than they sound. The core loop is bidding on lockers, hauling the haul back to your shop in a vehicle, and selling it for profit, so fresh item pools change what a winning bid is worth. Rare mutations like Gold, Diamond, Void, and Rainbow sit on top of that.

Teased locations on the map

Two unfinished structures are already visible in the live game if you go looking for them. Neither is open yet, and neither has been officially tied to the September 19 drop, but both are the clearest hints at where the map is expanding.

The nuclear power plant bunker

Behind the nuclear power plant, a hidden road cuts down toward the rock wall and ends at a sealed door marked with hazard stripes. It is easiest to spot from above using a UFO vehicle, which gives you a clean view of the path leading in. The door does not open.

The Lucky Beach neon building

Over at Lucky Beach, a neon-lit building sits behind the pyramid auction area. The facade uses an Egyptian pharaoh mask flanked by a wing motif, and the lighting is already fully wired up even though there is nothing to do there yet.

Both builds are placeholders in their current state. Do not spend money or time trying to force your way in before the update publishes.

How to confirm the update is live

If you are already in a server when 3PM ET passes, leave it. Servers that were running before the update publishes keep serving the old version, so staying put will make it look like nothing has changed.
Rejoin from the experience page. Storage Hunters runs 8-player servers, so you should land in a freshly spun-up one quickly.
Check the announcement board inside your shop. It is the same screen the developers used to list this drop, and it is the fastest in-game signal that you are on the new build.

You can also confirm from outside the game. The Updated date on the experience page shifts to the new publish date once the build is out, which is a reliable check if you are not near a device you can play on.

Where Storage Hunters stands right now

The game has pulled in more than 105.8 million visits and over 330,000 favorites, with roughly 16,500 players in-game at a time. Its last published update was September 10, 2026, so this weekend’s drop is the first substantial change in over a week.

Progression badges give a rough sense of how far most players get. Nearly half of everyone who joins picks up the welcome badge, 14.6 percent reach 10 auctions won, and only 3.9 percent hit 100.

If you want to see the new areas before you go hunting for them yourself, the 2PM ET stream runs right up against the release, and the developers have been unusually open about what they are working on. Otherwise, banking some cash ahead of the drop is the practical move, since a refreshed auction item pool is where the money will be.
