Items in Roll a Gnome are timed boosts sold at the Item Shop that speed up crop growth, enlarge fruit, raise mutation odds, or make your gnomes plant faster. You buy them with in-game money earned by harvesting and selling produce, then activate them to squeeze more output from your garden during grinding sessions.
Quick answer: There are eight Items. The cheapest is the Basic Sprinkler at $2,000, and the most expensive is the Gold Watering Can at $119,000. The shop restocks every five minutes, so buy an Item as soon as it appears if you want it.

The Items split into four jobs. Knowing which one solves your current bottleneck keeps you from overspending on a boost you don’t need yet.
Faster crop growth
The Basic Sprinkler multiplies Crop Growth Speed by 1.25x for two minutes for $2,000, and the Golden Sprinkler pushes that to 1.75x for three minutes at $7,500. These are short bursts, so they pair best with an active harvesting session rather than an idle one.
Shorter growth time
The Basic Watering Can cuts growth time by 10% for $17,500, and the Gold Watering Can cuts it by 25% for $119,000. The Gold version is the priciest Item in the shop and is aimed at mid-to-late gardens where the percentage saving translates into a lot of extra harvests.
Bigger fruit
Fertilizer increases fruit size by up to 100% for three minutes at $14,500, while Good Fertilizer raises it by up to 300% for the same three minutes at $32,500. Larger fruit means more value per sale, so these are strongest right before a big harvest.
Planting speed and mutations
Gnome Coffee boosts your gnomes’ planting speed by 50% for three minutes at $5,000, which helps refill an emptied garden quickly. The Mutation Mister raises Mutation Odds by up to 300% and stays active for five minutes at $49,500, making it the tool to use when you are chasing mutated produce.
How to buy Items from the Item Shop
Note: Because most Items are timed boosts, activate them when you can immediately act on the effect. A three-minute fruit-size boost is wasted if you are not about to harvest.
If you are early in the game, the Basic Sprinkler and Gnome Coffee are the most affordable ways to move produce through the loop faster. Save the Gold Watering Can, Good Fertilizer, and Mutation Mister for when your income can absorb their higher prices, since their bigger effects pay off most in a larger, faster-selling garden.
