Roll Anime to Fight: How Baek’s Beast Awakening Passive Works

The exact health threshold that flips Baek into Beast Form, plus his stat jumps with the Superior trait.

The exact health threshold that flips Baek into Beast Form, plus his stat jumps with the Superior trait.

Baek is a Secret rarity fighter in Roll Anime to Fight, and his entire value sits in one passive. He has no active skill at all. Instead, he carries a single trigger called Beast Awakening, which changes his stat block mid-battle once he takes enough damage.

Quick answer: Beast Awakening fires the moment Baek drops below 50% of his current health, converting him into Beast Form with higher stats and lifesteal. Let him take damage — do not shield or replace him early.

Beast Awakening trigger condition

The in-game description is blunt about the requirement. When Baek drops below 50% health, he transforms into Beast Form and gains stronger stats plus lifesteal. There is no cooldown to manage, no button to press, and no manual activation window.

Because the threshold is a percentage rather than a fixed number, raising Baek’s maximum health does not make the transformation harder or easier to reach — it only changes how much raw damage he has to absorb to get there. A Baek with 180K health flips at under 90K. A Baek with 360K health flips at under 180K.

Note: the lifesteal only exists after the change. Nothing heals him on the way down, so the first half of his health bar is pure setup for the second half.

Baek stat comparison: Base, Superior trait, and Beast Form

The numbers below track a Level 1 Baek with the Parasite mutation. The Superior trait roll is applied before combat, and Beast Form is what he becomes after the passive fires with that trait already on him.

StatBaseSuperiorBeast Form
Attack488K1.46M4.32M
Health180K360K510K
Defense1.51.51.5
Speed10.80.8

Two details are worth reading carefully. Defense does not move at any stage — it stays at 1.5 across base, traited, and transformed states. Speed gets worse with Superior, dropping from 1 to 0.8, and Beast Form does not restore it. The payoff is entirely in attack and health.

Attack roughly triples going from base to Superior, then triples again on transformation. That final 4.32M figure is what makes Baek worth running despite having no active skill.

How to trigger Beast Form in a wave run

Roll the Superior trait on Baek before deploying him. Trait rerolls are the only thing standing between the 488K base attack and the 1.46M starting point, and Beast Form scales off whatever attack value he already has.
Place Baek somewhere enemies will reach him. He needs to be taking hits, not sitting behind the rest of the lineup, because the passive is damage-gated rather than time-gated.
Let the wave run without pulling him out. He fights normally through the first half of his health bar and contributes damage the entire time, so nothing is wasted while you wait.

Watch his health bar cross the halfway mark. The transformation is automatic at that point, and his card updates to read Bake (Beast Form) with the new stat values.

How to confirm the transformation worked

The unit name itself is the confirmation. A transformed Baek is labeled Bake (Beast Form) rather than Bake, and his displayed attack jumps to 4.32M with health reading 510K on a Superior roll. If the name has not changed, the passive has not fired yet.

The health value going up is the clearest tell. Beast Form pushes maximum health from 360K to 510K, so a Baek whose bar suddenly grows instead of shrinking has crossed the threshold. Lifesteal then keeps that larger bar topped up as he attacks.

If nothing changes, there is usually one reason. Baek has not taken enough damage — enemies are dying before they reach him, or the wave is too weak to push him under half health. Denser, later waves solve this on their own.

Where Baek fits in a team

Baek is a late-run damage dealer, not an opener. His speed of 0.8 with Superior means he attacks slower than an untraited copy, so he is not the unit that clears crowded early waves quickly. What he offers is a very high ceiling once a wave has chewed through half his health.

That makes him best paired with faster attackers who handle the opening enemies while Baek soaks damage and builds toward the flip. The lifesteal on Beast Form also means he can sustain himself deep into a run without outside healing, which matters at high wave counts where enemy health scales up.

One caution before you merge anything: Baek’s Parasite mutation and any Superior trait you land are separate upgrade lines, and using a valuable copy as merge material throws both away. Lock him first, then merge spare duplicates into the copy you plan to keep.

Roll Anime to Fight is available on Roblox, where the in-game Menu also holds the Codes panel for trait rerolls and Secret Essences. Stocking up on those rerolls is the practical path to a Superior Baek, since the trait roll is what turns a solid Secret unit into a 4.32M attack threat.
