RuneScape Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM Regions, Blessings, and Relics Explained

How region unlocking, Blessings, Relics, and free-to-play worlds shape your run before the season ends on September 21st.

How region unlocking, Blessings, Relics, and free-to-play worlds shape your run before the season ends on September 21st.

Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is RuneScape’s second seasonal league, built around a fresh character, sharply accelerated experience rates, and a world you open up one region at a time. It is set in an alternate reality where Guthix, the God of Balance, still shapes Gielinor, and the choices you make decide which regions, bosses, Relics, and Blessings you end up with.

Quick answer: EQUILIBRIUM is live now and runs until September 21st. Start in Misthalin and Havenhythe, unlock Karamja after your first task milestone, then choose a limited set of further regions while building your character through Tasks, Relics, and combat Blessings.

What Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is and how it works

When the league begins you create a dedicated league character that is separate from your main account and included with your existing membership. You cannot trade with other players, and every participant plays under Ironman-style restrictions. Success comes from the path you build for yourself.

You complete challenges called Tasks to earn League Points, which set your League Trophy and unlock stronger Relics. An Account Nomination feature lets you play on the league character but send the final rewards to another account of your choice. The damage cap of 30,000 has been lifted for this league, and the Life Points cap has been removed as well.

Region unlocking and task milestones

Instead of handing you the whole map, EQUILIBRIUM locks most of Gielinor and opens it as you hit task milestones. You begin with Misthalin and the newest region, Havenhythe. Karamja is unlocked during the tutorial once you reach your first milestone, giving you three regions almost immediately. From there you expand by hitting higher task counts, but you will not be able to unlock every region, so each pick closes off others.

The regions you can choose to unlock each bring their own content. Asgarnia covers the God Wars Dungeon and Falador. Kandarin holds skilling hubs like the Player Owned Farm, Hall of Memories, and Deep Sea Fishing. Fremennik Province includes islands such as Neitiznot, Lunar Isles, and Jatizso. Forinthry (Wilderness) packs dangerous Slayer targets and Daemonheim. The Desert opens Menaphos and Het’s Oasis, Morytania brings Araxxor and the Everlight Digsite, Tirannwn leads to Prifddinas and the Lost Grove, and Anachronia is full of dinosaurs to hunt, fight, and farm.

Note: No matter which regions you take, you can still earn the Dragon trophy and enough points for all of this year’s rewards.

Auto-completed quests inside each region

Every region arrives with a large number of quests already completed, so you are not grinding long chains just to reach the content you want. Choose Tirannwn and you can head straight to Prifddinas. Pick the Desert and Menaphos is within easy reach almost immediately. Area tasks that require more than one region are auto-skipped and complete themselves once you own the needed regions.

Tasks, League Points, and Relic tiers

Tasks run from Easy to Master, paying from 10 points for quick wins up to 400 points for major achievements across skilling, rare drops, bosses, and minigames. League Points push you through seven Relic tiers, and the point costs from Tier 2 to Tier 3 and from Tier 5 to Tier 7 have been reduced compared with last year.

Relics available in EQUILIBRIUM

Relics reshape how you play, and this year they are tuned to reduce obvious best-in-slot picks so your choice follows your playstyle. Endless Harvest automates banking so gathering never stops. Survivalist stretches resources further. Golden Touch turns Agility and Thieving into real income. Combined with a locked map, they make each run play differently.

The full Relic pool includes Endless Harvest, Survivalist, Golden Touch, Animal Wrangler, Superheated, Divine Druid, Nature’s Network, Assassin’s Insight, Voidwalker, Crystal Grace, Transmutation, Antiquarian, Clue Connoisseur, Production Master, Devout, Perkfection, Rejuvenated, Infernal Fire, Naragi Edict, and Icyenic Faith.

Blessings and the Order, Balance, and Chaos paths

Blessings are a new combat progression system, unlocked by completing combat Tasks across three Alignment paths: Order, Balance, and Chaos. Commit to a path and you eventually earn a God Tier Blessing, described as some of the strongest combat effects in the game. Your God Blessing is decided by your earlier picks. Choosing two or more Chaos Blessings grants the Chaos God Blessing, while other combinations lead to different divine rewards.

Free-to-play League Worlds

For the first time, Leagues can be played without membership. Dedicated Free-to-Play League Worlds open on day one and give access to the first three Relic tiers, all available free-to-play regions, and the core progression loop of completing Tasks and earning rewards. Upgrading to membership carries your progress into the full experience, adding more regions, additional Relic tiers, and tougher challenges.

Rewards and trophies

Your League Points total determines your trophy, ranging from Bronze up to Dragon, and you can climb the HiScores while collecting exclusive cosmetics. Because every path can reach enough points for all of this year’s rewards, the strategic weight sits in what you unlock and what you leave behind rather than in fear of missing the reward track. With the season ending on September 21st, the pressure is on pacing your Tasks, regions, Relics, and Blessings before time runs out.
