Shards are the currency behind almost every upgrade in Samurai Duels. Every player starts with the Skydive ability, and Shards are what let you buy stronger options from the Abilities Shop instead of relying on that one starting move. The same currency also opens Weapon, Explosion, and Aura Crates, which expand your cosmetic and combat loadout for duels.
