Servant of the Lake: How to Unlock the You’ve Found Him Achievement

The full post-game clue chain, from Kate's 4:05 note to the telescope that finds her missing brother.

The full post-game clue chain, from Kate’s 4:05 note to the telescope that finds her missing brother.

Finishing the three-day story of Servant of the Lake does not close the case. As the carriage leaves the Vanderboom estate, the maid Kate hands you a letter asking you to find her brother, who vanished a year earlier. Working through her clues reopens old chapters in a new way and ends with the “You’ve Found Him” achievement plus a hidden clip.

Quick answer: After the ending, use the Servant’s Notebook to replay memories in this order and complete each hidden interaction: set Aldous’s clock to 04:05, press the bathroom tiles Alexandra → bathtub → suitcase → hand, enter RRRLRLRRL on the alchemy left/right box, build the attic constellations (four building, three water, two moon), copy the note’s symbol onto the cellar wine box, place the bronze/silver/gold bottles on the spiral/S/triangle marks, open the lockbox with 6294, then use the telescope on the window and click the lit window.

How the post-game clue chain works

Completing the game unlocks the ability to restart individual chapters from the Servant’s Notebook. That replay system is the whole mechanic behind this achievement. Each hidden note you uncover tells you which earlier memory to revisit next, so you stop treating Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 as a straight line and instead jump between tasks in the order the clues dictate.

The trail begins the moment Kate’s letter appears. Her first hint reads, “The crow awakens at five past four.” That line points you back to the one memory that holds both a clock and a crow.

Kate’s letter reopens the three days as replayable memories.

Clue 1: Set Aldous’s clock to 04:05

Open the Notebook and restart Day 1 – Waking up Aldous. This chapter contains the alarm clock and the crow from Kate’s hint.
Take the clock hand from the soldier figurine, then attach it to the clock and set the time to 04:05.

A compartment pops open. Read the note. It describes Alexandra summoning the brother to the bathroom, where he opened her suitcase and found a severed hand inside. Those objects are your route to the next clue.

Clue 2: The bathroom tile puzzle

Restart Day 2 – Helping with Bathing and open the wall tile puzzle behind the bathtub.
Press the tiles in the order named by the previous note: Alexandra, the bathtub, the suitcase, the hand.

A tile slides open. Take the note. It talks about feeling trapped in a dark maze and includes a maze drawing with the left and right symbols, which leads you into Day 3.

Clue 3: The alchemy left/right box

The maze reuses the left and right symbols you already learned during the alchemy work. Trace the path from the middle of the maze to the exit, counting each turn, and you land on this nine-step route.

Restart Day 3 – Assisting in Alchemy and open the Right/Left puzzle box.
Input the full sequence cleanly: Right → Right → Right → Left → Right → Left → Right → Right → Left (RRRLRLRRL). Enter all nine before backing out.

Take the note that pops out. It mentions the yearly reunion and a page full of scattered symbols, which sends you back to the attic.

Clue 4: The attic constellation box

The symbols on the note group into three families, and the constellation box has three matching markers: a building, water, and a moon. You build one constellation per family using the number of icons on the note.

Restart Day 1 – Searching the Attic and open the constellation puzzle box.
Match the icons into their groups: four building icons, three water icons, two moon icons. Connect the parts that belong together, then enter each shape into the box.

Take the note the box gives you. It describes an old ruin in the hills and draws a symbol that resembles the combination locks on the cellar wine bottles.

Clue 5: The cellar wine box symbol

Restart Day 3 – Dressing Up For Dinner and head down into the cellar.
Open the wine puzzle box and recreate the exact symbol drawn on the note you just found.

Take the note. This one describes a dream of bronze spiral stairs, a silver snake, and a gold mark on a son’s brow, which maps directly onto the wine bottle arrangement in the same cellar.

Clue 6: Arrange the bronze, silver, and gold bottles

Stay in the Day 3 – Dressing Up For Dinner cellar. Each colour in the dream matches one symbol under the shelves.

BronzeSpiral
SilverS (snake)
GoldTriangle with a horizontal line (the mark on baby James’s forehead)
Move each bottle above its matching symbol as listed above.

Click the barrel that opens and keep clicking through until you enter the next room.
Click the red cloth until a note falls out, then read it. There is also a lockbox in this room that you will open next.

Clue 7: Solve the 6294 lockbox and take the telescope

The final note pulls four numbers from four different memories. Each symbol on the page points at one earlier puzzle, and together they form the lockbox code.

PositionWhere the number comes fromValue
1The Xs match Alexandra’s note in Day 2 – Helping with Bathing; cross off all numbers but one6
2The window with the curved arch (top window) in the house painting, Day 2 – Preparing Coffee2
3The number the eyeball looks at in Day 2 – Going Hunting9
4The final symbol from Day 3 – Assisting in Alchemy4
Continue in Day 3 – Dressing Up For Dinner and climb back into the top barrel to the room with the red cloth. Click the lockbox.
Enter 6294, open the box, and take the telescope.
Go to where the bust is and take the passage on the left. Examine the window, then use the telescope on it.
Pan the camera up until a distant window lights up, then click it. The large group of bats around the far structure confirms it is the ruin from the earlier notes.

How to confirm the achievement unlocked

Clicking the lit window finds Kate’s brother and unlocks the “You’ve Found Him” achievement. Choose Watch Clip to see the hidden scene, set one year before the main events of the game.

Note: if the telescope shows nothing, you have not missed a clue or another item. Change viewpoints and keep scanning the distant structures until the castle and its bats come into view, then click the window that lights up.
