Shindo Life Demon Gate v2 Dupe Glitch Explained (2026)

How the reworked Demon Gate v2 mode chains with Apollo Sand to melt giant bosses in seconds.

How the reworked Demon Gate v2 mode chains with Apollo Sand to melt giant bosses in seconds.

A high-damage exploit tied to the reworked Demon Gate v2 mode has resurfaced in Shindo Life [249]. An older version of the so-called “dupe glitch” was patched by RELL World, but the same core trick now fires through the updated Demon Gate v2 forms, letting a single move chain deal millions of damage to large bosses in a couple of seconds.

Quick answer: Transform into a compatible Demon Gate v2 form, start a boss fight, then use your weapon’s Q-spec move and immediately spam Apollo Sand’s third move (Iron Style: Sand Tsunami) to burst the boss down.

What the Demon Gate v2 dupe glitch does

The exploit stacks the damage output of Apollo Sand’s spike move while a Demon Gate v2 form is active. Instead of one hit, the game registers repeated, overlapping damage, so a boss that normally needs a long fight collapses almost instantly. In practice, that turns tanked, large-scale spirits into a few-second kill.

It works across several Demon Gate v2 forms, not just one, which is why it survived the earlier patch. The forms provide the mode buff, and Apollo Sand’s third move is the payload that gets multiplied.

What you need before starting

  • The reworked Demon Gate v2 mode, equipped under Sub-Ability → Mode-Awakenings.
  • The Apollo Sand bloodline equipped, since its third move (Iron Style: Sand Tsunami) is the key part of the chain.
  • A weapon with a usable Q-spec move to open the combo.
  • A boss scroll to fight, such as Apol Gen 3, CHU Gen 1, or Sand Crawler.

How to get reworked Demon Gate v2

The reworked Demon Gate form drops from a boss in the Training Fields map. If you do not have it yet, head there and find the correct scroll before you set anything up.

Start from the [Bruce Kenichi] boss quest scroll in the Training Fields as your marker.
Run past the green fence and through the forest to reach the [Ryuji Kenichi] boss scroll. This boss is the one that drops the reworked Demon Gate form.
Defeat [Ryuji Kenichi] and equip the mode under Sub-Ability → Mode-Awakenings once it unlocks.

How to run the glitch

Open the menu, go to Bloodline, and equip Apollo Sand. Then open Sub-Ability → Mode-Awakenings and equip Demon Gate v2.
Transform into a compatible Demon Gate v2 form. Form 4 and Form 8 both work well, but Forms 1, 5, 6, and 7 also trigger the effect.
Walk up to a boss scroll and accept the fight. For example, stand at the [Apol Gen 3] scroll and confirm the prompt to fight.
Use your weapon’s Q-spec move on the boss to open the chain.
Immediately spam Apollo Sand’s third move, Iron Style: Sand Tsunami, to spawn the ground spikes and trigger the high-damage output. The boss should drop within a few seconds.

The exploit is most noticeable against giant bosses because their large hitboxes soak up the stacked spike damage. Smaller targets die so fast the effect is hard to see.

How to tell it worked

You will see the boss’s health drop by millions in a single burst, followed by a fast kill. Once the boss dies, the objective clears the way any normal boss fight would, confirming the run went through.

If the damage does not spike, the most common causes are Apollo Sand not being equipped, using a form outside the compatible list, or firing the third move too late after the Q-spec. Line up the Q-spec and the Sand Tsunami back to back for it to register.

Whether it still works

This trick has a long history. Similar move-chaining exploits were tied to Demon Gate’s early gates before, patched, and then revived through mode reworks more than once. Some players have reported the effect stopping after updates, so it can be fixed again without warning.

Because it depends on the reworked Demon Gate v2 mode, any change RELL World makes to that mode or to Apollo Sand’s third move can shut it down. If your run stops one-shotting bosses after a patch, assume the exploit was closed rather than that your setup broke. There are also normal, non-glitch clears for the same bosses, such as pairing the Shadow bloodline with its spike moves, if you prefer to fight without relying on the exploit.
