Shinto on Roblox: What’s in the New Naruto Game’s Early Build

A breakdown of Shinto's jutsu, tailed beast transformations, combat controls, and how testers currently get early access.

A breakdown of Shinto’s jutsu, tailed beast transformations, combat controls, and how testers currently get early access.

Shinto is a Naruto-inspired Roblox project that is being built in the open, with testing servers, developer showcases, and a Discord full of work-in-progress clips. The build circulating now already has a working clan system, elemental skill trees, weapon combat, parkour traversal, and full-size tailed beast and Susanoo models — but it is not on the Roblox platform for everyone yet.

Quick answer: Shinto is an unreleased Roblox Naruto game still in closed testing. The only way in right now is an early access giveaway run on its official Discord server.

Shinto combat controls and core mechanics

Combat is built around a standard melee string with a timing-based defensive layer. You throw basic punches with M1, and heavy attacks sit on M2, including a slam-down variant used from the air. Blocking and parrying are tied to timing rather than a resource meter, so the defensive game is about reading the incoming swing.

The HUD keeps things simple. You get a health bar, a chakra bar, and a hotbar of ability slots along the bottom of the screen, plus an IN COMBAT state that flags when you are locked into a fight.

Clans, skill trees, and talents

You start at a character creation screen that assigns a clan and lets you set gender before confirming. The main menu itself carries a Reroll Clan option alongside Continue, New Game, and Server List, so your clan is not necessarily locked to your first roll.

Abilities come from a character scroll menu split into elemental and discipline paths: Earth, Fire, Lightning, Water, Wind, Medical, and Taijutsu. Points are spent to unlock tiers within a path, and a separate Player Hardcode menu handles clan and village configuration, skill point resets, and inventory stats.

Talents layer on top as a card-style choice at certain tiers. The options include Iron Will, Poison Mastery, Executioner, Trickster, and Last Resort, and they mix flat stat gains with conditional damage.

TalentEffect
Executioner+5 Health, +10% damage to targets below 25% health
Last Resort+5 Health, +8% damage below 30% health
Flak vest (gear)+50 Health, +5 Chakra

A Permanent Death event can appear as an Accept or Decline prompt during a session. Accepting puts your character at stake before you drop back into open village combat.

Jutsu currently in testing

Several elements are further along than others. Fire and Lightning have the deepest showcase pools, while Earth carries most of the early skill tree progression that testers actually unlock in order.

PathTechniques seen in testing
FireFire Implode, Fire Rain, Great Fireball, Phoenix Flower, Twin Fire Dragon, Running Fire, Fire Breath
LightningFury of Lightning, Lightning Spear, Kirin
EarthChain Seal, Chain Trap, Earth Pillar, Earth Rampart, Rumble, Stalagmites, Fissure, Earth Clap

Earth is also the clearest example of tier progression. Chain Seal sits at Tier 1 and Chain Trap at Tier 2, both deploying glowing chain barriers on the ground, with the terrain-shaping options unlocking further up the tree. The fire and lightning sets are still labelled as work in progress, so animations and effects are being iterated on.

Tailed beast and Susanoo transformations

Shukaku

The One-Tails has both a partial and a full form. Partial mode drops a sand arm and a Shukaku face onto your character, and it can be followed with a Tailed Beast Bomb that detonates into a large fiery explosion. The complete giant Shukaku model is also in the build.

Matatabi

The Two-Tails exists as a full blue-flamed creature model, large enough to fill a village corridor. On the player side, there is a two-tailed blue flame chakra cloak transformation with its own moveset, including Azure Fireballs and Vanishing Azure Strike.

Susanoo

A full purple armored Susanoo is in, not just a ribcage stage, and it comes with a dedicated skill set: Susanoo Heaven Fall, Susanoo Ruin Blast, Susanoo Tempest, and World Splitter. The same Susanoo model is animated behind the main menu.

Movement, weapons, and outfits

Traversal covers sprint dashes, double jumping, vertical and horizontal wall running, and tree-to-tree target leaping, with a wall combo prompt for fighting on climbable surfaces. It is the part of the build that most closely tracks the ninja movement people expect from the source material.

Cosmetics open with the equipment menu and include accessory slots plus cloaks. The preview list runs through Madara’s Cloak, a Blue Cloak, Naruto’s outfit, Obito’s war masks, White Kakashi, and Storm series ninja outfits. Armor is not purely cosmetic either — the Flak vest is an inventory item that raises health and chakra.

Maps and weather states

Playable areas so far include a wilderness zone with cliffs, a grassy ruins landscape, an underground cavern, and a central village with streets, rooftops, and alleys used for large multiplayer brawls. Cloud Village and Hidden Mist maps have been shown as in-development.

A weather and skybox system cycles through distinct world states:

  • Spirit Realm, Eclipse, and Meteor Shower
  • Sandstorm, Windstorm, and Fog
  • Thunderstorm and Rain
  • Cold and snow
  • Underwater

How to get early access to Shinto

There is no public launch to join yet, and no official release date has been confirmed. Access is distributed through giveaways run in the project’s Discord community, which is also where jutsu, VFX, and village map previews get posted first.

Join the Shinto Discord server. That is the only place early access is currently handed out.
Enter the early access giveaways when they are posted. Entries are tied to the server, so you need to be a member before one goes live.
Confirm your access worked. If you have been granted it, launching the game takes you straight to the character creation screen where you pick a clan and gender, then press DONE and spawn into the Wilderness. If you are not on the list, you will not reach that screen.

Known issues in the test build

This is a testing server, not a finished product, and it behaves like one. Expect the following:

  • Spawning into the void beneath the map, followed by repeated DEATH screens on respawn
  • The same fall-through bug recurring after a server rejoin
  • Lag spikes during crowded village fights with heavy spell effects
  • Fire and lightning jutsu still flagged as work in progress

Rejoining the testing server is the workaround used for lag, though it does not guarantee a clean spawn. Given how much of the feature set — clans, talents, permanent death, tailed beast forms — is already functional, the rough edges are mostly presentation and stability rather than missing systems.
