Shoring Up Defenses is a Riven Tides quest handed out by the trader Apollo, focused on clearing aerial ARC threats and reinforcing makeshift fortifications along the coastline. It rolls four separate objectives into a single questline, and you only need one ARC Alloy from your stash to start it.
Quest requirements and rewards
Apollo gives you the Dockmaster’s Detector when you accept the quest, which you’ll use during the raid. The only material you must bring in yourself is a single ARC Alloy for the crane reinforcement step.

Add to Google Preferences →The four objectives
All four steps take place on Riven Tides. They can be completed across multiple raids, so you do not need to clear everything in a single run. Bringing the ARC Alloy in your safe pocket is the safest way to avoid losing it to PvP before reaching the cranes.

How to confirm completion
Each objective ticks off in the quest log the moment you finish it, with the standard ARC Raiders quest update notification on screen. Once all four steps are done, return to Apollo in Speranza to turn it in and collect the rewards.
Practical notes for Riven Tides
Wasps and Fireflies often spawn near the same coastal patrol routes, so pairing those two kill objectives in a single run is efficient. The Stacking Yard crane and the hotel are on opposite sides of the map, which makes splitting them across two raids reasonable if extraction pressure is high.
Keep a heavy weapon or a ferro for the aerial units, carry the ARC Alloy in your safe pocket, and plan an extraction route before climbing the crane — the top of the Stacking Yard structures is exposed and a common sightline for other raiders. Turning in the quest unlocks Apollo’s Barricade Kits, Lure Grenade Traps, and Seeker Grenades, all of which feed directly into later defensive Riven Tides content.
