Shred the Secrets: Every Class and What Each One Does

All six Paper Clip classes in the Roblox document-shredder, with unlock costs and the exact perks each level grants.

All six Paper Clip classes in the Roblox document-shredder, with unlock costs and the exact perks each level grants.

Classes are the main thing you unlock in Shred the Secrets, the Roblox game where you shred a corrupt boss’s paperwork for cash. Each one is a playable archetype with its own passive perks and gear, and picking the right one can cut your run times sharply. There are six to choose from, and you buy them with Paper Clips rather than in-run Cash.

Quick answer: There are six classes. Head to the class station in the lobby, then spend Paper Clips to unlock and level them. Costs run from 100 Paper Clips (Intern, Associate) up to 1,100 (CEO).

How to unlock classes with Paper Clips

Paper Clips are a separate currency from Cash. You earn them as you shred documents during a run, and they carry over to the lobby, so you keep them between shifts. In the lobby, press the marked class button or walk up to the class station to open the menu.

Once a class is unlocked, you can keep spending Paper Clips to raise it to Level 2 and Level 3. Each level strengthens the same set of perks rather than adding new ones, so a maxed class is simply a stronger version of its Level 1 self.

Intern100 Paper ClipsFaster shredder cranking
Associate100 Paper ClipsCarry capacity and starter Cash
Supervisor200 Paper ClipsGrabbing extra paper stacks, party carry
Night Guard300 Paper ClipsFBI damage reduction and survivability
Manager300 Paper ClipsWalk speed, carry, party Cash boost
CEO1,100 Paper ClipsParty carry, party Cash, big starter Cash

Intern (100 Paper Clips)

The cheapest way to speed up the shredder itself. Interns charge shredders faster and, at higher levels, crank quicker and carry more.

LevelEffect
1Cranks charge a shredder twice as fast.
2Cranks charge twice as fast, and you crank 30% quicker.
3Cranks charge three times as fast, you crank 50% quicker, and carry capacity increases by two.

Associate (100 Paper Clips)

Also 100 Paper Clips, but built around carrying more paper per trip and starting each run with a Cash cushion.

LevelEffect
1+2 carry capacity, plus 500 Cash as starter money.
2+3 carry capacity, plus 1,000 Cash as starter money.
3+5 carry capacity, plus 1,500 Cash as starter money.

Supervisor (200 Paper Clips)

The Supervisor lets you scoop up more than one stack at a time when picking up paper, and it lifts your whole party’s carry capacity, so it pays off most in team runs.

LevelEffect
1Grab an extra stack when picking up (max 2), plus +2 party carry capacity.
2Grab an extra stack (max 3), plus +3 party carry capacity.
3Grab an extra stack (max 4), plus +4 party carry capacity.

Night Guard (300 Paper Clips)

The defensive pick. Night Guard cuts the damage you take from the FBI and, at higher levels, ignores cobweb slowdowns, heals faster, and moves quicker.

LevelEffect
1Take 30% less damage from the FBI.
2Take 50% less FBI damage, and cobwebs no longer slow you.
3Take 70% less FBI damage, cobwebs don’t slow you, you heal twice as fast, and +10% walk speed.

Manager (300 Paper Clips)

A well-rounded class that mixes personal speed and carry with a Cash boost for the whole party. The walk speed bonus applies to you individually and does not count while you are sweeping.

LevelEffect
1+10% walk speed (except while sweeping), +10% party Cash boost, +2 carry capacity.
2+15% walk speed (except while sweeping), +12% party Cash boost, +3 carry capacity.
3+20% walk speed (except while sweeping), +16% party Cash boost, +4 carry capacity.

CEO (1,100 Paper Clips)

By far the priciest class, and the strongest party support option. The CEO stacks party carry, a party Cash boost, and a large chunk of starter money, with walk speed added at higher levels.

LevelEffect
1+2 party carry, +10% party Cash boost, 2,000 Cash starter money.
2+3 party carry, +18% party Cash boost, 4,000 Cash starter money, +8% walk speed (except while sweeping).
3+4 party carry, +25% party Cash boost, 6,000 Cash starter money, +15% walk speed (except while sweeping).

Which class to buy first

Your first pick depends on how you play. Intern and Associate cost only 100 Paper Clips each, so they are the natural early buys. Intern is best if the shredder is your bottleneck, while Associate helps if you keep running out of carry space or want early Cash. The party-wide classes, Supervisor and especially CEO, pull their weight in squad runs, where their boosts spread across everyone. Night Guard is the answer if FBI pressure is what keeps ending your shifts early.

Note: A class only shows its full value once leveled, since each rank multiplies the same perks. If you plan to lean on one archetype, saving Paper Clips to push it to Level 3 usually beats spreading them thin across several Level 1 unlocks.
