Sigil of Bonding in Crimson Desert: Lacey's Pororin shop location

Sigil of Bonding in Crimson Desert: Lacey's Pororin shop location

The Sigil of Bonding is a pet accessory added in Crimson Desert's 1.04.00 patch that lets a cat ride on Kliff's shoulder during exploration and combat. It's sold by Lacey, a hidden merchant who wanders the roads of Pororin village.

🐈
Quick answer: Complete the Unreachable Village faction quest to reach Pororin, then buy the Sigil of Bonding from Lacey for 8 Silver Coins. She patrols the village roads wearing a light green hood and backpack.

What the Sigil of Bonding does

Pearl Abyss originally treated the shoulder-riding cats as a bug. Because players liked the behavior, the developer kept it as an opt-in feature tied to a new pet accessory slot. Equip the Sigil of Bonding to a cat pet and it will stay perched on Kliff's shoulder for a much longer duration, even while you sprint, roll, or attack.

The item sits in the new pet accessory slot introduced alongside the 1.04 update, which also added birds as pets, five new cat variants, and the ability to tame the Abyss Heuklang.

Finding Lacey in Pororin

Lacey doesn't stand behind a stall. She walks a slow loop along the village's main paths, which is why many players miss her on a first pass. The fastest way to trigger an encounter is to run the road circuit around Pororin rather than waiting at a fixed spot.

Step 1: Fast travel into Pororin after clearing the Unreachable Village quest. Spawning at the village entrance puts you near her most common patrol route.

Step 2: Jog the perimeter road that loops through the village. Scan NPC silhouettes for a figure in a pale green hooded outfit carrying a small pack — noticeably smaller than the oversized packs worn by the bulk-item traders.

Step 3: Interact with Lacey to open her shop, select the Sigil of Bonding, and pay 8 Silver Coins. She stocks up to three copies per cycle.

⚠️
Note: A separate secret vendor (an older man) also wanders Pororin and does not sell the Sigil. If the NPC you approach has no pet items, keep moving — Lacey is a different character and is often described as a kid with a backpack.

Equipping the Sigil on a cat

Step 1: Open your inventory and switch to the Pets tab. Select the cat you want to ride your shoulder as the active pet.

Step 2: Locate the new pet accessory slot on the pet's equipment panel and attach the Sigil of Bonding to the collar slot.

Step 3: Return to the world, crouch near your cat, and wait. After a few seconds the cat will climb onto Kliff's back and settle on his shoulder. From there, sprinting, rolling, and combat will not dislodge it.

Restocks and additional purchases

Lacey caps the Sigil of Bonding at three per visit, which matters if you want to keep multiple cats configured. To refill her inventory, advance the in-game clock by roughly seven days — sleeping at a bed or waiting at campfires speeds this up — then return and run the patrol loop again.

Raising Trust with Lacey up to +100 is possible, but it doesn't unlock additional wares. The Sigil is the only notable item she carries.

How to tell it worked

Confirmation is visual. After crouching near your equipped cat, it animates climbing onto Kliff and idles on his shoulder. The cat remains visible through fast movement and combat animations until you manually dismiss the pet or unequip the Sigil.

If the cat refuses to climb up, the most common causes are: no cat set as the active pet, the Sigil equipped to a non-cat species (birds use the Sotdae of Bond instead), or not crouching close enough. Re-open the Pets tab, verify the accessory is attached to the correct pet, and try again on flat ground.
