Zoe Ellis’ house in St. Amelia is dark when you first walk in, and the game gives you almost nothing to work with. The computer in the living room stays dead, the organ transport box in the kitchen refuses to open, and the only way forward is a prepaid electricity card sitting in a cash register two doors down — guarded by the first roaming enemy in the game, at a point where you still have no weapon.

Quick answer: Take the Prepaid Power Card from the cash register in Peters Newsagent, then in Zoe’s crawlspace insert it, press A until Card Credit appears, press B, and flip the main switch to ON.

What you need before the power panel will work

Townfall locks puzzle steps behind their clue items, so knowing the solution early does not let you skip ahead. You need light to get into the crawlspace, and you need to read the credit guide inside it before the panel becomes usable.

ItemWhere it is
Flashlight (No Batteries)Kitchen drawer beside the washing machine
AA BatteriesUpstairs, small cabinet in the second room on the left
Power Card Credit GuideCounter inside the crawlspace next to the stairs
Prepaid Power CardCash register inside Peters Newsagent

Combine the batteries with the flashlight in the Key Items tab of your inventory, then crouch into the low opening beside the staircase. Pick up the credit guide, open the grey meter box to see the Supply Disabled Insert Credit message, and head back out. While you are upstairs it is worth grabbing the Organ Transplant Card from the bathroom floor, since you will need it once the electricity is running.

Route to Peters Newsagent without being seen

Leave Zoe’s house and go back into the alley you arrived through. A short cutscene fires here, and from this point enemies are walking the streets. You come out directly outside Peters Newsagent, the building marked 2 on the Shorefront map.

The front door is locked, and the sign near it states that deliveries go round the back. Head through the entrance to The Mariner opposite Zoe’s house and turn right, or follow the street east until a path wraps around the building.
Stay crouched. There is one creature patrolling the terrace behind the shop, and you have no weapon yet. Hold position behind the stone partitions and debris, wait for it to walk its loop away from you, then move.

Pull out the CRTV and use the signal interference to work out which direction the creature is coming from before you commit to an opening.

Push through the rear door with the Fire Exit sign — it uses a push bar — and close it behind you once you are inside.

Where to find the Prepaid Power Card inside the shop

The shelves are stripped bare, so ignore them and take the first room on the left. Everything you need is around the checkout desk.

  • Open the cash register behind the counter for the Prepaid Power Card, a £5 Electricard issued by CEG Chapman Energy Group.
  • Take the Plank from the shelf behind the register — it is your first weapon.
  • Pick up the Newsagents Note from the counter for your documents.
  • There is Gauze on a counter through the door opposite the fire exit.

Before you step back out, watch the front window. A creature paces the street outside and will spot you through the glass if you move too early. Wait until it walks off, then either slip out the way you came or unlock the front door for a shorter run back. With the Plank in hand you can also block and beat it down, which is the safer option if it has already noticed you.

How to use the Electricard on Zoe’s power panel

Retrace your route to Zoe’s house, climb the stone steps, and crouch back into the crawlspace beside the stairs. Interact with the wall panel.
Insert the Prepaid Power Card into the slot underneath buttons A and B, following the arrows printed on the meter. The display should still read Current Credit £0.00 at this point.
Press Button A repeatedly until the screen cycles to Card Credit £5.00.
Press Button B to apply it. The meter confirms with Credit Added.
At the panel’s lower-right, move the main switch from OFF to ON.

How to confirm the power is back on

Two things tell you it worked. The meter display switches away from Supply Disabled Insert Credit to show the credit loaded, and the house itself comes back to life once you crawl out. Head to the computer in the living room and switch it on — if it boots, the puzzle is done.

Refresh the inbox and read the emails waiting there. Those messages, combined with the Organ Transplant Card from the upstairs bathroom, give you the combination for the organ transport box in the kitchen, and opening it hands over Zoe’s Lanyard for the Shorefront Family Clinic. The house phone also works as a save point now, which is worth using before you head back out into the fog.
