Static Distractions is a Bronze trophy in Silent Hill: Townfall that asks you to distract enemies ten times using radios placed around the world. The count is cumulative, so you never have to hit all ten in a single sitting. The fastest way to close it out is to trap one wandering enemy in a room with two radios and cycle between them.

Quick answer: Interact with a world radio to make noise while an enemy is nearby, hide, then repeat a total of 10 times. Progress carries across playthroughs, so a two-radio loop clears it in minutes.

What counts toward Static Distractions

Only radios you find in the environment count, and only when the noise actually pulls an enemy’s attention. Each successful lure adds one to your tally. Because the trophy tracks a running total, you can chip away at it across an entire run or knock it all out at once.

  • Trigger: an enemy is drawn to a radio you activate in the world.
  • Target: 10 distractions total.
  • Grade: Bronze, part of the game’s combat trophy group.
  • Progress carries over between playthroughs and into New Game Plus.

Radios appear across the St. Amelia Shorefront area, so you can also earn this naturally by using one whenever an enemy is close. The loop below just removes the guesswork.

Farm all 10 distractions with the two-radio loop

This method uses a single patrolling enemy and two nearby radios: one on a wooden sideboard beneath the window in the dining room, and one on the kitchen counter next to the microwave. You bounce the enemy between both rooms while staying out of sight.

Enter the house in first-person view and follow the main hallway past the kitchen toward the dining room. Keep your flashlight up so you can spot the enemy’s patrol path before you commit to a radio.

Walk up to the dining room radio and press E to make noise. The static pulls the enemy toward the room, which registers your first distraction.

Duck behind the stacked cardboard boxes near the table and stay put until the enemy shuffles in to inspect the noise. Hiding keeps you off its radar so the loop stays clean.

While the enemy is fixed on the dining room radio, slip out through the connecting hallway into the kitchen. Press E on the counter radio to make noise and drag the enemy back the other way. That is your second distraction.

Loop back down the opposite hallway entrance to the dining room radio and trigger it again as the enemy heads for the kitchen. Keep alternating between the two radios until your distraction count reaches 10.

Let the enemy fully commit to one radio before you tag the other. Firing both too quickly can leave it stuck between rooms and break the rhythm.

Confirm the unlock and leave the house

The Static Distractions trophy pops the moment your tenth radio lure connects, so watch for the on-screen notification during the loop. Once it appears, you are free to stop cycling the radios.

To get away from the enemy, pass through the central hallway, enter the bedroom, then close the door so it blocks their view of you.

Approach the locked glass sliding door on the patio, open the key selection menu, and choose Mr Stewart’s Key to step outside. That clears the area with the trophy already banked.

Since the count carries between runs, you can also let it fill in slowly by using any radio you pass whenever a creature is close, then finish the last few on this loop. Either way, ten distractions is the only threshold that matters.
