Dream Manipulation is the reworked version of the Blood Demon Art that Enmu users have been running since Part 1, and in Slayers 2 it leans much harder on flesh constructs than it does on sleep gas. The kit is built around five named abilities, a pair of range-dependent variants, and a summon that takes up most of the screen.
Quick answer: Dream Manipulation in Slayers 2 runs on five abilities — Melodic Whisper (which splits into long-range and close-range versions), Ordained Flesh, Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage, and Flesh Monster — on top of standard M1 melee strikes.
Dream Manipulation moveset in Slayers 2
Every ability in the kit falls into one of three jobs. Some of them apply a status, some of them displace the target, and one of them is a full-screen summon. Here is what each one actually does on hit.
| Ability | Effect |
|---|---|
| Melodic Whisper (Long Range) | Sends three drifting purple projectiles at the target and applies a slow. |
| Melodic Whisper (Close Range) | Fires a burst of purple energy point-blank, putting the target to sleep and stunning them. |
| Ordained Flesh | Plants a tall flesh pillar that fires pink beams toward your cursor, then detonates on reactivation. |
| Piercing Flesh | Erupts a tentacle at the targeted spot that grabs, squeezes, and throws the opponent. |
| Flesh Barrage | Sprouts a cluster of red and black tentacles that whip the area rapidly. |
| Flesh Monster | Summons a huge multi-limbed monster around the enemy for ground slams, sweeps, and a knockback finisher. |
The basic M1 chain matches the theme. Instead of plain punches, your character swings glowing red-pink flesh tentacles and claws, which is what you use to fill gaps between cooldowns.

Melodic Whisper is the move you will press most, and your distance from the target decides which version comes out. At range, it throws three purple projectiles that drift toward the opponent and slow them on contact. That slow is the setup tool, not the damage.

Stand close and the same input changes completely. The character fires a concentrated burst of purple energy straight into the enemy, putting them to sleep and locking them in place. That sleep is what opens the window for the heavier flesh moves.
Note: because the version is decided by spacing rather than a separate key, closing the gap mid-combo changes what your next press does.
Ordained Flesh and the reactivation detonation
Ordained Flesh is the only placed ability in the kit. Activating it raises a tall flesh pillar that stays on the field and keeps firing pink beam projectiles in the direction of your cursor, so it deals chip damage while you keep moving. Pressing the skill again collapses the pillar into a focused detonation blast.

You are choosing between two payoffs every time you cast it. Letting the pillar run gives you sustained pressure; detonating early trades that for a single burst that you can time with a stun.
Piercing Flesh and Flesh Barrage: The ground control tools
Piercing Flesh is the precision option. A single large tentacle bursts out of the ground at the point you target, grabs whoever is standing there, squeezes, and then hurls them away. It is a displacement tool first, which matters if you want to push someone out of a safe spot.
Flesh Barrage covers area instead of a point. A cluster of red and black tentacles grows out of the ground and delivers a fast series of whip strikes across that zone, which is the better choice when the target is moving or when more than one enemy is in the same space.
Flesh Monster: The finisher
Flesh Monster is the biggest move in the kit. It calls in a huge multi-limbed creature that wraps around the enemy’s position and runs a fixed sequence of ground slams and sweeping strikes before ending on a hit with heavy knockback. The animation is long, so it wants a target that is already slowed, asleep, or pinned.

How the kit chains together in PvP
Against a live opponent, the order writes itself. The long-range Melodic Whisper slows the target, the close-range version puts them to sleep once you have closed the distance, and the flesh moves land while they cannot move. Ordained Flesh sits in the background adding damage during all of it.

The weak point is the same one it has always had. Almost every big hit in the kit is a telegraphed summon that grows out of the ground, so an opponent who recognizes the animation has time to reposition before it connects.
What changed from Part 1’s Dream Demon Art
In the original game, the art was called Dream Demon Art and ran on Hypnosis, Melodic Whisper, Echoing Whisper, Piercing Flesh, Spiritual Core, and Flesh Monster, each unlocked at a mastery level and mapped to a key from Z through N. Getting it meant becoming a demon, reaching level 15, and spinning at the Demon Art Spin NPC in Zapiwara Cave, with a real chance of getting nothing.
Three of those moves are gone in the Slayers 2 version. Hypnosis, Echoing Whisper, and the Spiritual Core clash minigame have been replaced by Ordained Flesh and Flesh Barrage, and Melodic Whisper picked up its range split. Only Melodic Whisper, Piercing Flesh, and Flesh Monster carried over by name, which matches the earlier commitment that every Part 1 breathing style and Blood Demon Art would be rebuilt rather than ported.
Unlock requirements, mastery levels, and keybinds for the Part 2 version have not been detailed, so treat the Part 1 spin process as history rather than a plan.
Dream Manipulation was shown off on September 2nd, 2026, a few days before Ouw Production confirmed that Slayers 2 launches on September 18th, 2026 at 4PM EST. That gives the flesh-construct rework a firm date on the calendar, even if the numbers behind each move stay unlisted until the game is live.
