Smash the City is a Roblox destruction sandbox from Kabooom Crew, and its pitch is simple. A city sits in front of you, and you knock it down. Every piece of rubble pays out coins. Coins buy bigger weapons and new skylines to wreck. The game has more than 50 weapons across seven categories. They range from a basic missile to nukes, black holes and a giant foot. Most of the early decisions come down to spending coins wisely.

Quick answer: Redeem SMASH in Settings for 5,000 coins. That covers a Cluster Bomb (2,000) and a Giant Foot (3,000), the two most useful early buys.

How Smash the City pays out coins

The game skips the long onboarding. You tap a building and a missile flies at it. A short tutorial then hands you a bomb and tells you to drop it, and the coin counter starts climbing. You never control a character. You play from a side-on, camera-only view, picking weapons from a toolbar on the right edge of the screen and aiming at towers, cars and street props.

Coins come from three places. Each destroyed piece pays a small amount. Bonus banners pop up as a run passes certain destruction thresholds. Then there are the daily systems. In the Downtown map, the bonuses look like this.

City destroyedBonus coins
35%+100
50%+250
75%+500

Milestone rewards are tied to a single run, so they come back every time you start a fresh city. Thresholds at 25% and 95% have also been linked to milestone payouts. Either way, flattening a whole city earns more than taking out a few towers.

The daily reward scales over a seven-day streak, and it pays more than the milestones do early on.

Day 32K
Day 43K
Day 55K
Day 67.5K
Day 715K

Daily challenges sit next to the streak. The rotation in the footage asked for these three goals:

  • Destroy 75% of a city, for 1,500 coins
  • Play for 25 minutes, for 3,000 coins
  • Wreck 25 cars and props, for 1,500 coins

The 75% challenge overlaps with the 75% milestone, so one full run can pay out twice.

Smash the City codes: SMASH for 5,000 coins

One code works right now. SMASH grants 5,000 coins, and no codes have expired yet. Kabooom Crew tends to release new codes with updates, new weapons and player-count milestones. They show up on the game’s official Discord.

Redeem codes in Settings instead of a separate menu. Select the gear on the HUD’s left edge, then scroll to the bottom of the window. Put the code in the “Enter a code” box and press “Redeem.” Your coin total should rise by 5,000 immediately, confirming the code worked.

Smash the City starter weapons: Prices and cooldowns

Weapons sell for coins or Gems, and a premium tier costs Robux only. These are the first shop items most players will see.

WeaponCategoryPriceCooldown
MissileExplosivesStarterNone
FireworksExplosives500 coins / 25 GemsNot shown
Cluster BombExplosives2,000 coins / 49 GemsAbout 2 seconds
Giant FootMonsters3,000 coins / 49 Gems8 seconds
Void NukeExplosivesR$ 299Robux only
SunDisasterR$ 299Robux only

Missile is free and has no cooldown at all. You can spam-click it across a block, and it clears the lit towers of Night City faster than you might expect. It stays useful well after you own better weapons, mostly for cleaning up stray buildings at the end of a run.

Cluster Bomb scatters bomblets over a wide area. At 2,000 coins, it’s the first purchase that clearly beats spamming missiles on dense skyscraper groups. Its short reload lets you keep up a steady barrage.

Giant Foot stomps a large cluster of buildings flat in a single hit. The 8-second cooldown is long, but no other early weapon clears that much of the map with one tap. It costs 3,000 coins, so the SMASH code pays for it plus a Cluster Bomb.

Fireworks are the cheapest upgrade, and you get what you pay for. A volley barely damages a building’s structure, so 500 coins does more good saved toward a Cluster Bomb.

Best weapons in Smash the City for later runs

The full roster spans seven categories: Explosives, Nature, Sci-Fi, Monsters, Aircraft, Tools and Fun. Late-game rankings depend on how much a weapon covers per use rather than its raw damage.

TierWeaponCoverageBest target
SBlack HoleVery largeDense districts
SOrbital LaserFocusedLarge, durable structures
ANukeLargeClustered blocks
AMeteorMediumTough clusters
ATsunamiWide laneBuildings lined up
BTornadoMedium, movingCrowded areas
BMissileSmallIsolated buildings

Black Hole pulls in and erases whole sections of a dense city. Orbital Laser does the opposite job, aiming a beam at the tall buildings that area weapons struggle to finish. They pair well, with the Black Hole stripping blocks and the laser picking off what’s left. Both sit deep in the weapon progression.

Among the A-tier picks, Nuke fits targets grouped around a central point. Meteor hits one heavy cluster harder. Tsunami sweeps down long rows of buildings and works best on open stretches of a map.

Meteor and Tornado are both unlocked by joining the Kabooom Crew Roblox group, so you get two weapons without spending coins.

Smash the City maps and unlock costs

Downtown and Night City are open from the start. You switch between them from the “Choose a city” menu, and Night City swaps the daytime skyline for rows of lit towers that are easy to read at a glance.

The remaining cities in that menu cost coins. They’re the most expensive things you can buy without Robux.

V-City12,000 coins
Highway City15,000 coins
Power Plant20,000 coins

The game has 11 maps in total. Some go well past city grids, including Tokyo-style streets, pyramids and a moon base.

What Robux buys in Smash the City

The Store makes it easy to skip the grind, and it pops up often. A Mini Nuke prompt even shows up in the middle of a run. These are the paid options:

  • Coin packs: 10,000 for R$ 49, 35,000 for R$ 149, 100,000 for R$ 349, 300,000 for R$ 899
  • Mini Nuke: a single nuke on your current city for R$ 2
  • Starter Pack for R$ 99: 2x Coins, Mega Power, No Cooldowns, Server Nuke, Map Builder, Nuke Every Server, Time Control
  • Robux-only disasters such as Void Nuke and Sun, each R$ 299

None of it is required. Between the SMASH code, a week of daily rewards worth 34,000 coins, and milestone bonuses on every full clear, a free player can afford Cluster Bombs, the Giant Foot and the first paid city without spending a cent. You can jump in on the Smash the City Roblox page.
