Snipers Vs Runners is a Roblox minigame with a simple setup. A few players hold a high terrace with scoped rifles, and everyone else charges down a long, cluttered city lane with knives to reach them. Every match turns into a three-minute race between a timer and a crowd. The roles swap from round to round, so most players spend time on both ends of the scope.

Quick answer: Snipers win if the 3:00 timer expires before runners take the platform. Runners win the moment every sniper on the platform has been knifed.

Snipers Vs Runners win conditions

The map has two halves. Snipers stand on an elevated terrace at one end. Runners spawn at the far end of an enclosed corridor lined with concrete blocks and low walls, and stairs at the end of the corridor lead up to the sniper perch. The on-screen objective tells you which side you are on. Snipers see “KILL THE RUNNERS” and runners see “KILL THE SNIPERS.”

SideHow the round is wonEnd-of-round message
SnipersHold the platform until the 3:00 timer runs out“SNIPERS WIN” / “The runners ran out of time”
RunnersReach the platform and knife every sniper“RUNNERS WIN” / “Every sniper was taken down”

Runners do not win by touching a finish line. They have to climb the stairs and take out every defender in melee. A single sniper left standing at the buzzer gives the round to the snipers. After each round, a podium ranks players by kills and points. On a strong sniper round, the top spot can pass 50 kills. One full round ended with 59 kills and 472 points, and another ended with 56 kills and 448 points.

Older builds used a different format. One randomly chosen Sniper faced up to 12 Runners racing to a Finish line, any Runner who crossed won it for the team, and payouts came in Cash based on eliminations or seconds survived. The current version uses several snipers, a timer, a knife finish and diamonds as the shop currency.

Sniper role: the perch, the laser and a five-round magazine

Snipers look straight down the corridor through a scope. Every rifle projects a red or pink targeting laser down the lane, and runners are outlined with blue highlight circles. Those lasers matter to both sides. They help the sniper track a target, and they also tell runners exactly where the sniper is aiming. Rifles hold 5 bullets per magazine before a reload, so a sniper cannot fire forever into a crowd.

The sniper's scope covers the whole lane, and headshots on runners in the open are the fastest way to rack up kills. Shown at 00:07 in OTTER ON ROBLOX’s video.

The early part of a round is the busiest. Runners pour out of spawn, and careless ones sprint through open ground. As the crowd thins, the job shifts to tracking the runners who have made it furthest down the lane, because anyone near the stairs is a bigger threat than someone still hiding at spawn. A sniper who fixates on one hard-to-hit runner leaves the stairs open. Runners who reach the top can knife a sniper at close range, and the sniper then gets the same slow-motion kill replay that runners see.

Sniper slots are assigned by chance, and the lobby shows a “SNIPER CHANCE” percentage. A “Be next Sniper” prompt skips that roll and guarantees the role in the following round for 32 Robux. The purchase covers one round, so players who want back-to-back sniper rounds have to buy it again each time.

Runner role: cover, crouching, sliding and the knife

Runners carry a knife and nothing else. The corridor is built around rectangular concrete blocks and low walls, and moving between them is most of what a runner does. Crouching behind a block breaks the sniper’s line of sight. Watching where the lasers point tells you when it is safe to make the next dash.

Concrete blocks are the runner's main protection, and a pink laser sweeping past shows where a sniper is aiming. Shown at 02:50 in OTTER ON ROBLOX’s video.

Snipers can only follow one target at a time. When a laser is locked on another player, that gap is the safest window to cross open ground. Runners who move in straight lines at a steady pace are easy targets. Short pauses, sudden direction changes and jumps used only to clear obstacles make shots harder to land.

Pushing the Corridor03:25Pushing the Corridor
Several lasers can cover the corridor at once, so runners advance from block to block instead of sprinting. Shown at 03:25 in OTTER ON ROBLOX’s video.

Slide unlocks at Level 3. A slide lets a runner drop low and cover the space between two blocks quickly, and it combines well with crouching behind low walls further down the lane.

Second Runner Match05:28Second Runner Match
Low walls deeper in the lane hide a crouching runner, which is where the Level 3 slide earns its keep. Shown at 05:28 in OTTER ON ROBLOX’s video.

Getting shot triggers a “YOU ARE DOWN” screen followed by a “KILL CAM” replay in slow motion. The replay is shown through the shooter’s scope and names the player who landed the hit. Runners respawn and push back down the lane, so one death does not knock a player out of the round.

Third Runner Round07:34Third Runner Round
The kill cam replays the shot from the sniper's scope and names the shooter, in this case JackboiMane. Shown at 07:34 in OTTER ON ROBLOX’s video.

The round is decided at the top of the stairs. Once a runner gets over the platform edge with a knife drawn, the snipers have very little room to aim at someone standing right next to them. Knifing the last sniper ends the round immediately.

Levels and diamonds in Snipers Vs Runners

Diamonds are the currency for cases and cosmetics. Each level-up pays +100 diamonds, and early levels also unlock abilities, sprays and taunts. A Level Rewards screen lists what is coming up next.

LevelReward
Level 2Level-up reward
Level 3Slide ability
Level 4100 diamonds, “GG” spray
Level 5Dab taunt
Levels 6–7200 diamonds total, “EZ” spray (Level 7)

Diamonds come from four places:

  • Levelling up, at 100 diamonds per level
  • Completing challenges
  • Blue diamond pickups floating on the track floor
  • Diamond packs bought with Robux

Skin Master shop: cases, packs and gamepasses

The Skin Master NPC in the runner staging area handles cases, packs and gamepasses. Cases contain sniper skins, knife models and kill effects. All of them are cosmetic and change how a weapon or elimination looks, not how it performs.

Roblox processes gamepass purchases through its Robux checkout prompt. The Starter Pack also costs Robux and contains an epic knife called Scarlet Talon, 300 diamonds, and a Skin Case. The Hellfire Harvest Pack was restricted to 300 copies; it is now marked “SOLD OUT.” A bulk case purchase opens three cases at once.

Case drops: knives, sniper skins and kill effects

Sniper skinsReaper Sniper, Storm Sniper, Golden Sniper, Bloodstone Sniper, Nightshade Sniper
Kill effectsBlack Hole (legendary), Firework Rocket (legendary), Ghost Rise (rare), Tombstone, Gold Statue, Bubble Pop, Smoke Poof

Kill effects are the most visible cosmetics in a match. An equipped effect plays an animation at the exact spot where an eliminated player dies, and the animation stays there for a while. With Black Hole equipped, every sniper kill leaves a purple vortex in the corridor. Older versions sold cosmetics for Cash and warned that they could get expensive. That trade-off has not changed: none of these items give a sniper or runner any gameplay advantage.

Modes, codes and leaderboards

The Main Game runs the standard snipers-versus-runners loop, and you choose a server for it from the Modes menu. An AFK mode pays out currency over time without active play. A Free For All mode also exists. A further mode is planned, but no official date for it is confirmed.

Use the Codes button at the screen’s upper-right to enter a code. Press Redeem, and an accepted code credits its reward to your account right away; a typo makes the code invalid. To redeem FFA, you must be playing Free For All. The rewards listed below come as Cash, the currency used before diamonds replaced it in the shop.

Leaderboard boards in the lobby track Sniper Kills, Level and Meters Walked. Each stat has both an all-time and a weekly board, so a few big sniper rounds can push a player up the weekly rankings without years of play. The game is free to play, and nothing in the shop is required to win as either role. Snipers win by running out the clock, and runners win by getting a knife to every sniper on the platform.
