Soul Chain in VV: Ultimatum – Where to Get It and What It Crafts

Soul Chain is a crafting material in VV: ULTIMATUM, the Bleach-inspired action RPG on Roblox. It is consumed by a small number of recipes at the Blacksmith, and one of those recipes carries a permanent consequence, so it helps to know exactly where the material drops and what it builds before you start spending it.

Quick answer: Farm Soul Chain from Hollows and quest rewards, then craft it at a Blacksmith station into either Prayer Beads (Soul Chain + Soul Essence) or Hollow Soul (Soul Chain + materials).

Where to get Soul Chain in VV: Ultimatum

Soul Chain comes from two reliable sources. You can pick it up as a quest reward, and it drops from Hollows as you fight through early areas. Because it ties to standard enemy farming rather than a single rare boss, you can stockpile it during normal progression instead of grinding a dedicated route.

Crafting happens at any Blacksmith station. The first hub most players reach is Mizuki Sato in Soul Society Outskirts, near the torii gate. Hold C to sense nearby crafting stations and quest NPCs so you can find a Blacksmith quickly once you have enough material in your inventory.

What Soul Chain crafts

Two recipes use Soul Chain. One is a utility item, and the other is a full character wipe. Read the difference carefully before you build either one.

Prayer BeadsSoul Chain + Soul EssencePermanently wipes the character slot

Depending on your account state, Prayer Beads may also be available as a shop purchase rather than a craft. Soul Essence, the partner material for that recipe, is a common drop from mobs and bosses, so it is rarely the bottleneck.

Prayer Beads warning before you craft

Activating Prayer Beads permanently deletes the race, level, stats, skills, inventory, and all progression in that slot. This is not a partial reset, and there is no undo once it triggers. Treat it as a full restart for the character.

The justified reasons to use it are narrow. They include an irreversible Hollow evolution mistake, a planned switch to a different race, or experimental build testing on a slot you are willing to lose. If you only need to refund a single skill, use the Statue Mystery quest shrine instead, and if you want a full build wipe without deleting your race, the Lv70+ Build Reset Token covers that case.

How to confirm the craft worked

Gather your Soul Chain from Hollow kills and quest turn-ins, then bring it to a Blacksmith station such as Mizuki Sato in Soul Society Outskirts.
Select the recipe you want. For Hollow Soul, the material count will drop from your inventory and the finished item appears in your bag. For Prayer Beads, expect a clear, separate activation step rather than instant use.
Verify the result. A successful Hollow Soul shows the new item in your inventory with no other change to your character. Activating Prayer Beads resets the slot entirely, returning you to a fresh start, which is the signal that it fired as intended.

If a craft does not go through, the usual cause is not having both ingredients in the right quantity, or not standing at a Blacksmith station. Confirm you are carrying Soul Chain plus the partner material before retrying.

Soul Chain is easy to collect but easy to misuse, since the same material feeds both a low-stakes utility craft and a slot-ending reset. Keep a few in reserve for Hollow Soul, and only pair it with Soul Essence at the Blacksmith once you are certain you want to wipe a character.
