Spirit Warrior Melee in Sailor Piece - Empyrean Training Questline

Spirit Warrior is a late-game melee spec in Sailor Piece tied to the Empyrean Training questline on Blue Planet in the second sea. The boss itself does not drop the spec, so farming the Spirit Warrior fight alone will not unlock it. The full path runs through one NPC, six quests, and a mix of farming, RNG rolling, and boss kills.

Quick answer: Travel to Blue Planet in Sea 2, talk to the Empyrean Trainer NPC standing opposite the Spirit Warrior Summoner, and complete all six Empyrean Training quests. The Spirit Warrior melee unlocks on the final turn-in.

Requirements before starting Empyrean Training

Blue Planet sits inside Sea 2 content, so the account must already be past the Sea 2 unlock. Reaching Blue Planet itself requires collecting two Ancient Fragments and assembling seven map pieces to travel there. Without that access, the Empyrean Trainer cannot be reached.

A strong damage build and a luck build are both useful before starting, because the questline alternates between RNG drops and high-HP boss fights. Crystal Keys and Spirit Keys are also worth stockpiling ahead of time, since they gate the later quests.

Where to find the Empyrean Trainer NPC

On Blue Planet, locate the Spirit Warrior Summoner NPC. The Empyrean Trainer stands directly opposite the summoner, near a small house on the left side of the map. Press E on the trainer to open the questline. The six tasks must be completed in order, and each one unlocks the next.

Empyrean Training quest list

1Consume 3 Spirit StonesSpirit Fighter mobs on Blue Planet
2Roll the Empyrean BloodlineBloodline Stones (Sea 2 mobs)
3Defeat 15 World Bosses with meleePunch Island, Slayer Island rotations
4Reach floor 75 in Crystal Defense, four timesCrystal Key on Punch Island
5Defeat 10 Sea BeastsOpen Ocean, Sea 2 (500K+ bounty)
6Defeat the Spirit Warrior boss 50 timesSpirit Keys at the Spirit Warrior Summoner

Quest 1: Consume 3 Spirit Stones

Step 1: Travel around Blue Planet and locate the Spirit Fighter mob NPCs. These enemies drop Spirit Stones as a mythical-tier drop, so a luck build noticeably reduces the time spent farming.

Step 2: Open the inventory once three Spirit Stones are in hand and click each stone to consume it. The quest closes the moment all three are consumed, and the second quest opens automatically.

Quest 2: Roll the Empyrean Bloodline

Step 1: Stockpile Bloodline Stones from Sea 2 mobs. The same Blue Planet farming spot can drop both Spirit Stones and Bloodline Stones, which makes it efficient to grind both together.

Step 2: Open the bloodline roll menu, disable Skip on every bloodline except Empyrean, and keep rolling. This is pure RNG and can take several thousand stones. The quest completes the moment Empyrean lands.

Note: The Empyrean bloodline also carries strong combat stats on its own, including extra melee damage and max HP, so keeping it equipped through the rest of the questline is useful.

Quest 3: Defeat 15 World Bosses with melee

Step 1: Equip a melee weapon and a high-damage build. Any melee kill counts, but specs like Cosmic Being, The World, Moon Slayer, or Strongest Shinobi clear faster because of high single-target damage.

Step 2: Rotate between World Boss spawns across the map, including Punch Island and Slayer Island. World Bosses spawn roughly every 20 minutes, so server hopping between attempts cuts downtime. Make sure the killing blow lands with a melee weapon, or the kill will not count.

Quest 4: Survive Crystal Defense to floor 75 (four times)

Step 1: Collect four Crystal Keys, then head to Punch Island in Sea 2 to start Crystal Defense mode. Bring a damage-focused build and any artifacts or relics that boost damage output.

Step 2: Push to at least floor 75 in a single run, then leave. Repeat the run three more times. Each successful clear above floor 75 adds one progress tick toward the four-clear requirement.

Quest 5: Defeat 10 Sea Beasts

Step 1: Move into the Open Ocean area of Sea 2. Sea Beast spawns are gated by total player bounty in the area, with 500K bounty being the practical floor for triggering one.

Step 2: Bring a party with high bounty or stack bounty solo to accelerate spawns. Sea Beasts often appear in groups, so a single session can clear several kills at once. Continue until 10 are down.

Quest 6: Defeat the Spirit Warrior boss 50 times

Step 1: Farm Spirit Keys from the same Blue Planet mobs that drop Spirit Stones. Each summon of the Spirit Warrior boss consumes a key, so a stack is needed.

Step 2: Return to the Spirit Warrior Summoner NPC, use a key, and pick Normal difficulty. Normal-difficulty kills count the same toward the 50-kill total but resolve much faster than Hard or Extreme. Repeat until 50 kills are registered.

Once the 50th kill turns in, the Empyrean Trainer hands over the Spirit Warrior melee spec. The spec arrives with its F-skill already unlocked, so no separate mastery questline is required afterward.

Buying Spirit Warrior instead of grinding

The spec is also sold directly in the in-game shop for players who would rather skip the questline. Pricing currently runs as follows.

Spirit Warrior (solo)1,599
Spirit Warrior + Spirit Outfit bundle1,399
Spirit Warrior + Sun God + Dual Wielder bundle3,199

How to confirm the unlock worked

The Empyrean Trainer will close the questline dialogue, and Spirit Warrior will appear as an equippable melee spec in the loadout menu. Equipping it should show the full move set, including the F-tier ability immediately. If the spec does not appear, the final boss-kill count usually has not actually reached 50, which is the most common failure point because kills only register when the boss dies during an active Spirit Warrior summon.

Spirit Warrior is positioned as one of the stronger late-game melee picks because of its very large AoE coverage and several iframes across its kit, with trade-offs in long animation times and forward-facing hitboxes. Once the spec is unlocked, the same Blue Planet area remains useful for farming Spirit Keys if multiple characters or alts plan to run through the questline later.
