Spring Wilds Hunt is a seasonal exploration quest in Where Winds Meet, set in the Qinchuan region of Hexi and triggered only while the world is in Spring. It centers on Tang Yiduo, a child overwhelmed by animals stirring awake from winter, and ends with a short delivery to the dog Momo. Completing it grants Hexi Exploration points along with crafting and currency rewards.

Quest requirements and location
The quest is locked to the Spring season and only appears while you are in Qinchuan, Hexi. If the marker does not show up, open the map and use the season switch in the upper-left corner to change to Spring. The switch is only visible when your character is physically inside the Qinchuan region.
| Detail | Value |

If you have not been to the area before, ride toward the small house near the river in the meadow. The Boundary Stone sits along the path and rewards 1 Patterned Silk plus the Leisure Garden fast-travel point on activation, which makes future trips back instant.

Spring Wilds Hunt walkthrough
Step 1: Activate the Leisure Garden Boundary Stone if you have not already. This unlocks the teleport you will use to reach Tang Yiduo and the deer without re-riding across the meadow.
Step 2: Find Tang Yiduo standing on a wooden box near the house and speak with him. Pick the dialogue option Okay, I'll go to accept the task of investigating the cries from the meadow.

Step 3: Head into the tall grass to locate two deer. The objective updates from Soothe the agitated deer to Calm down the angry deer as you close the distance, and they turn hostile on contact.
Step 4: Fight the deer with your equipped weapon until the encounter ends. They are low-threat enemies, so any standard combat loadout works.

Step 5: Return to Tang Yiduo and pick the Underestimated! dialogue line. He will redirect you back to the meadow to stop the deer from fighting again.
Step 6: Run back to the deer location and trigger the short cutscene where your character observes the pair in the grass. No combat is required this time.
Step 7: Go back to Tang Yiduo one more time to report what you saw. The objective updates to Deliver the findings to Momo.

Step 8: Walk over to Momo, the dog near the house, and use the Feed prompt. Submit the quest item from the panel that opens to wrap up the quest.
How to confirm the quest is complete
Completion is signaled by the on-screen banner reading Spring's Verdant Chase and a reward list that scrolls down the left side of the screen. The exploration entry under the main menu's Exploration tab will also flip from In Progress to completed.
Spring Wilds Hunt rewards
The full reward set is delivered when you feed Momo. Patterned Silk is granted earlier, when you first activate the Boundary Stone, and counts toward your overall haul from the trip.
| Reward | Source |
|---|---|
| Jade Fish | Quest completion |
| River Jade | Quest completion |
| Oscillating Jade | Quest completion |
| Patterned Silk | Boundary Stone + completion |
| Hexi Exploration points | Quest completion |
| Coin | Quest completion |
Hexi Exploration points are the most useful pull here, since they feed into the regional exploration progression that gates other Qinchuan content. The jade materials slot into crafting and upgrade systems you will use throughout the Hexi storyline.

Common reasons the quest will not start
Two conditions block the quest from appearing on the map. The first is the season: the quest description explicitly notes Spring Only, and the icon is suppressed in Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The second is location: the season switch in the map UI only appears while your character is inside Qinchuan, so you cannot toggle it from Qinghe or Kaifeng and then ride over.
If both conditions are met and the marker is still missing, fast travel away from Leisure Garden and back to force the area to refresh. Tang Yiduo runs other seasonal variants of this quest line as the year cycles, so the same NPC location hosts different objectives outside of Spring.
