Star Wars Droid Tycoon in Fortnite now runs a permanent Fusion Machine. You put three droids in. The machine returns one droid at a higher rarity, or a variant that was not in the set you spent.
Quick answer: Combine three droids at the Fusion Machine to receive a higher-rarity droid or a new variant.
How Droid Fusion works
Droid Fusion is a fixed trade. The machine always wants three droids and always pays out a single droid. That payout is either a bump in rarity or a new variant. It does not hand you a blueprint. The unit that leaves the machine is a finished droid you can keep.
You know the fusion landed when the machine gives you that droid. There is no extra claim screen beyond taking the unit it creates. If you still have only a blueprint, the fusion did not complete.
| What you insert | What the machine returns |
|---|---|
| Three droids | One higher-rarity droid or a new variant |
| Three rainbow droids | A Beskar droid |
Ordinary mixes follow the three-in, one-out rule above. The Beskar result is narrower. Only three rainbow droids produce a Beskar droid. Other trios still fuse, but they will not satisfy that recipe.

Fusion can also create new mythic droids. Those mythics are real droids, same as every other fusion payout. They are not paper plans sitting on the belt.
The pool around those fusions is large. The Droidex moves to 561 entries, with 119 new droids and variants in that total. Fusion is the route that turns three owned droids into those higher-tier and mythic results, including Beskar when the input is three rainbow droids.
| Droidex field | Count |
|---|---|
| New droids and variants | 119 |
| Total Droidex entries | 561 |
Fusion Machine location
The Fusion Machine stays on the map. A black and purple structure now stands near the Stormtrooper battle area and opens into an underground fusion lab. That lab is the home of the machine.
Reaching it means crossing the main hub first. Move through that futuristic concourse, then continue toward the Stormtrooper fight to find the new build.

Cantina trades for fused droids
Fused droids have a sink in the Cantina. NPCs there post trades that ask for fused droids and pay credits plus Upgrade Chips. Crafting a higher-rarity or mythic unit is not only a collection step. It is also the item those vendors want.
Walk up to the Cantina vendors after a fusion and check the live offers. A requested fused droid completing a trade is the confirmation that the NPC accepted it.

Once the machine returns a droid, that unit is yours to equip, hold, or carry to a Cantina NPC. The loop is short. Three droids in, one droid out, then a vendor if you want the credits and Upgrade Chips.
