Turning a single storefront into a profitable storage operation in Storage Hunters comes down to where you spend your Gems. Shop upgrades control how much you can hold, how many items you can display, and how much money each customer hands over. A few are open from the very first session, while others stay locked until you cross specific net worth milestones.
Quick answer: Open the Shop Upgrades menu with the upward arrow icon on the right side of the screen, then put your earliest Gems into Tip Jar (5 Gems) and Price Tags (45 Gems) before anything else.

Four upgrades are available from the start. The remaining four sit behind net worth gates, with the highest one requiring six figures before it appears.

![]() Inventory Space | +5 slots per level | 5 Gems | None |
![]() Selling Space | +2 shelves per level | 10 Gems | None |

| Plot Capacity | +100 items per level | TBC | $100,000 net worth |

Which upgrades to buy first
Tip Jar and Price Tags give you the most return for the fewest Gems early on. Both raise the money you pull from each customer interaction, and that effect compounds the longer you play. Tip Jar adds free bonus income through diamond tips, while Price Tags reduces what you give away on every sale by starting buyers closer to fair value.
Plot Capacity is the strongest long-term upgrade, but it stays locked until you hit $100,000 net worth, which makes it a mid to late game target. Reaching that threshold also unlocks the matching “Net Worth $100,000” achievement, and the extra item slots let you sell far more at once.
If you are still in the early grind, route your Gems into Tip Jar and Price Tags, keep enough in reserve for Selling Space and Inventory Space as your hauls grow, and then work toward Plot Capacity once your net worth clears the gate. Spending in that order keeps cash flowing while you build toward the bigger unlocks.
