The Blood of Dawnwalker: Where to Find the Relic of a Saint

Locate the Saint's Tibia in St. Tyna's Convent, plus the St. Tyna's Necklace hidden behind a locked sacristy door.

Locate the Saint’s Tibia in St. Tyna’s Convent, plus the St. Tyna’s Necklace hidden behind a locked sacristy door.

St. Tyna’s Convent hands you two relic hunts at almost the same moment, and they are easy to mix up. One is the Saint’s Tibia, tied to the “Relic of a Saint” objective. The other is St. Tyna’s Necklace, which Brencis’s men want in exchange for safe passage to the library. Both sit inside the same walls during Anca’s Echoes of Silenced Bells main quest.

Quick answer: Leave Anca’s balcony, take the exterior stairs down to the courtyard, and loot the dead nun lying on the grass just outside the archway entrance. That body holds the Saint’s Tibia, and taking it updates A Bulwark Against Darkness.

Before you start searching, work out which relic your objective actually wants. They have separate locations, separate triggers, and separate payoffs.

Note: neither relic is on St. Tyna’s own body in the chapel. Inspecting her only confirms that the necklace is gone.

How to get the Saint’s Tibia (Relic of a Saint location)

Play through the cutscene where Coen and Anca look down on the courtyard outside the library and realise the nuns have turned. Control returns to you on the balcony above the courtyard.

If you already moved on and lost the marker, open the map and fast travel back to St. Tyna’s Convent. Select the objective so the marker stays tracked while you walk in.

Leave the balcony room and follow the exterior stairs down to ground level. Keep going toward the archway entrance rather than into the courtyard proper.
Look for the nun’s body lying on the grass just outside that archway. Loot it, and the Saint’s Tibia goes straight into your inventory.

Where St. Tyna’s Necklace relic is hidden

The necklace is the one Anca’s quest needs when you go looking for a way into the library. It is not lying in the open, and the door it sits behind starts out locked.

Drop down from the balcony where Anca is waiting and head around the back of the buildings directly ahead. You will hear voices coming from a window you can inspect.
Inspect the window to open a conversation with Brencis’s soldiers. They agree to help, but only once you hand over the St. Tyna’s Necklace relic.
Enter the chapel opposite the soldiers’ building and inspect St. Tyna’s corpse. The necklace is missing, which is the point of the check.
During the daytime, use Compel Soul on the other corpse in the chapel’s main hall, not on St. Tyna herself. If you picked up the Catalyst Prayerbook from the benches in the chapel, you can also use it on her. Failing that, grab the note in the chapel, which updates your objective and sends you to the sacristy. This is also where the Most Precious Thing side quest begins.
Walk to the sacristy in the northwestern corner of the courtyard. The door is locked, so ignore it for a moment.
Open the shed immediately to the right of the sacristy. The Monastery Keys are sitting there as soon as you step in, and they also open other locked doors around the convent.
Unlock the sacristy and investigate the corpse beside the coffin. She is wearing The Relic of St. Tyna. Finish the investigation first, then loot the relic from the body.
Carry the relic back to the soldiers at the window, then return to Anca. Safe passage to the library opens up and Echoes of Silenced Bells continues.

How to confirm the relic registered

Looting the Saint’s Tibia pushes a quest update on screen for A Bulwark Against Darkness. If you missed the pop-up, open the radial menu and jump into the Journal to check the entry.

For the necklace, the confirmation is the handover. Once the soldiers take The Relic of St. Tyna, Most Precious Thing wraps up and Anca’s dialogue changes to offer safe passage.

Two things commonly stall this. Compel Soul on the chapel corpse only works during the daytime, so if nothing happens, the clock is the reason. And the sacristy stays shut until you have the Monastery Keys from the shed next door, so there is no lockpick shortcut.

What the Saint’s Tibia feeds into

A Bulwark Against Darkness is the questline that pays out the Arbiter’s Armour, which covers the Enhanced Armour, Shin Guards, Boots, and Bracers of the Arbiter. The Saint’s Tibia is one of the steps along that road, so it is worth grabbing even if you only came to the convent for Anca.

Its sibling questline, Forge It Anew, runs on sword shards instead and ends with the Imbued Sword of St. Mihai. Picking up either quest also unlocks conversation with the Uriash Hermit, who sells The Prizewinner.

Clear both relics in one visit and you leave St. Tyna’s Convent with the library route open and an Arbiter objective ticked off, instead of having to fast travel back later for a body you walked past on the way in.
