The Hills Have Eyes is a short kill-and-loot quest in WoW Forever, tucked into the Zephras Isle leveling route. It has no puzzle, no escort, and no timed phase. You take it at a farm, walk down the road, and clear out the bandits camped along it.
Quick answer: Accept The Hills Have Eyes from Aamellia Windfield at Windfield Orchard, kill Bandit Highwayman mobs in Gustberry Lowlands until you loot 7 Blood-Stained Bandit Masks, then turn it back in to her.
Quest giver, zone, and objective
Everything happens inside one corner of Zephras Isle. The quest giver stands at Windfield Orchard, and the mobs you need sit just downhill in Gustberry Lowlands, so there is no cross-zone travel involved.

Open your map before you set off. The quest marker sits south of the orchard, along the path that runs down into the lowlands and toward the mountain pass.

If you are playing a pet class, set your pet’s abilities through Beast Training before the first pull. The bandits come in a steady stream, and stopping mid-route to retrain is wasted time.
Turning in the quest at Windfield Orchard
Once the objective flips to 7/7, the quest is complete in everything but name. Run back north along the same road to Windfield Orchard and speak to Aamellia Windfield again.
You know it worked when the objective line in your log shows the mask count filled, the NPC displays the turn-in dialogue with a completion button rather than a quest description, and the reward screen appears after you hand the masks over. If she still shows an exclamation mark or the incomplete quest text, you are short a mask and need one more Bandit Highwayman.
The other Hills Have Eyes quest, in Maldraxxus
Retail World of Warcraft has a completely different quest with the same name, and the two get mixed up constantly. The Shadowlands version lives in Maldraxxus, was added in patch 9.0.2, and has nothing to do with bandits or masks you loot off corpses. Both titles nod to the 1977 horror film.

|---|---|
| Start and end NPC | Baron Vyraz (36.3, 60.2) |
| Location | House of the Chosen, Maldraxxus |
| Level range | 10-55 |
| Objective | 6 Masked Infiltrators slain |
| Reward | 24g 33s 60c plus experience |

Baron Vyraz hands you a Chosen Corpsehound, which follows you automatically. Walk the compound near the Chosen Protector NPCs and watch the hound, because it, not the enemies, tells you who the spies are. The emotes escalate as you get closer:
- The corpsehound appears unusually alert.
- The corpsehound begins raking at the earth with its paws…
- The corpsehound starts to growl…
When the hound locks on, it howls, begins to glow, and runs at the disguised NPC, which starts glowing as well. Speak to the Chosen Protector carrying the Mark Target buff and pick the gossip line “You’re acting suspicious.” to unmask it as a hostile Masked Infiltrator, then kill it. Repeat until the counter hits 6/6. The spies are scattered around the compound, including near the bones, along the stairway, on a ledge, and inside the passage.
Ride back up into the main chamber, talk to Baron Vyraz, and hit Complete Quest to collect the gold and experience.

Baron Vyraz also offers Maintaining Order at the same time. Picking both up together saves a return trip, since they overlap in the same compound.
What the WoW Forever beta changes while you level
The bandit version of the quest sits inside WoW Forever’s beta realms, a Classic+ style server where the class toolkits have been reworked. That matters for a pull-heavy quest like this one, because the spells you use to clear seven roadside bandits may not be the ones you remember.
Mage picks up talent-level changes around Arcane Blast, Missile Barrage, Hot Streak, Ice Lance, and Fingers of Frost, which shifts how quickly you can chain single-target kills while leveling.

Rogue gets a similarly broad pass, touching Hack and Slash, Restless Blades, Improved Expose Armor, Mutilate, Venom, Cutthroat, and Thousand Cuts. Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior all received their own reworks on the beta realms as well.

None of that changes the quest itself. Seven bandits, seven masks, one walk back up the hill to the orchard.
