The Sims 4 cheat console lets you skip the grind entirely, handing you free Simoleons, maxed-out skills, and instant career promotions with a single typed line. Every cheat below works on the current game version and is organized by what it actually does, so you can jump straight to the command you need.
How to open the cheat console
On PC, press Ctrl+Shift+C to bring up the console box at the top of the screen. Mac players use Cmd+Shift+C instead. On PlayStation and Xbox, press all four shoulder buttons at the same time to open the same console, then type using a connected keyboard or your controller.
Most of the commands below only work after you type testingcheats on (or testingcheats true) and press Enter. The console will confirm cheats are active. This setting resets every time you close the game, so you’ll need to re-enter it each session. Cheat codes are not case-sensitive, and using any command that requires testing cheats will disable Trophies or Achievements for that save file on console.
Money cheats
These work without enabling testing cheats first, except for the money command.

The FreeRealEstate cheat needs to be entered while you’re in neighborhood view rather than inside a household, and remember to switch it off again once your Sims have moved into their new home.

Skill levels top out at 10 for most skills (5 for toddler and some pack-specific skills). Type testingcheats on first, then enter the command with your desired level.

Child Sims use separate codes: stats.set_skill_level Skill_Child_Creativity, Skill_Child_Social, Skill_Child_Mental, and Skill_Child_Motor, each on a 1-10 scale. Toddlers cap at 5 with stats.set_skill_level_Toddler_Communication, _Imagination, _Movement, _Thinking, and _Potty.
Career cheats
Your Sim must already be employed in a career before promoting or demoting them. Enter careers.promote [code] or careers.demote [code] after activating testing cheats.

For example, typing careers.promote astronaut repeatedly bumps a Sim up one rank per entry, so pressing the Up Arrow key and Enter lets you climb the ladder fast. You can also add a career outright with careers.add_career [code], remove one with careers.remove_career [code], or retire a Sim with careers.retire.

Relationship values can be set directly with modifyrelationship [Sim 1 first] [Sim 1 last] [Sim 2 first] [Sim 2 last] [amount] LTR_Friendship_Main for friendship, or LTR_Romance_Main for romance, replacing the amount with a number up to 100.
Occult and season cheats
Turning a Sim into an occult type uses traits.equip_trait [code], and each life state ties to the game or expansion pack that added it.

For vampires specifically, rank is controlled with stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Occult_VampireXP followed by a value: 202 for Minor, 630 for Prime, 1058 for Master, and 1486 for Grand Master. To switch seasons directly, use seasons.set_season 0 for summer, 1 for autumn, 2 for winter, or 3 for spring.

Career and business perk cheats for packs like Get to Work, Dine Out, and Cats & Dogs generally follow the pattern bucks.unlock_perk [PerkName] true, where the perk name matches the reward shown in the business perk menu.
Type testingcheats off at any point to disable cheat effects for the rest of your session, or simply close and relaunch the game since the setting doesn’t carry over between play sessions.
