The Veil: How to Get Rare, Epic and Legendary Gems in Roblox

Find the Shimmering Sanctum, unlock the Gem Merchant, and roll the gem gacha at 500 Silver per pull.

Find the Shimmering Sanctum, unlock the Gem Merchant, and roll the gem gacha at 500 Silver per pull.

Gems in The Veil come from one place only: the gacha machine run by the Gem Merchant on the sky island above the Shimmering Sanctum. There is no drop table in the maze that hands you a Legendary gem, and no crafting path that upgrades a low-tier stone into a high-tier one. You reach the merchant, you pay, and you roll.

Quick answer: Locate the Shimmering Sanctum with your radar coordinates, pay 1 Gem to the NPC there to teleport to the sky island, then roll the Gem Merchant’s gacha for 500 Silver (or 32 Robux) per pull — Legendary sits at a 1% chance, so bank Silver before you start.

Gem gacha drop rates and roll cost

Every pull is independent. Nothing carries over between rolls, and there is no pity counter that guarantees a Legendary after a set number of attempts. That makes your Silver reserve the single biggest factor in whether you walk away with the gem you want.

At 500 Silver a pull, chasing the 1% tier is a Silver problem before it is a luck problem. Ten thousand Silver buys you 20 rolls, which on paper lands roughly two Epics and, more often than not, no Legendary at all. Farm first, roll second.

Find the Shimmering Sanctum in the maze

The Shimmering Sanctum does not sit in a fixed spot. Its location is randomized, so you have to hunt for it inside the maze rather than memorize a route. Your radar coordinates are the tool that gets you there.

Move through the maze while watching your radar coordinates. Compare them against the position of the Sanctum and adjust your direction each time the numbers drift the wrong way.

Keep a weapon equipped as you search. The maze is not a safe corridor, and being caught mid-navigation without a sword out costs you progress and Silver.

When you reach the Sanctum, speak to the NPC waiting there and pay the 1 Gem fee. That single Gem buys your teleport up to the sky island where the Gem Merchant is stationed.

Activate the TP obelisk before you spend anything

The first thing to do on arrival is not talk to the merchant. Find the teleport obelisk on the sky island and activate it. Once it is registered, you can fast travel straight back here instead of re-hunting a randomized Sanctum every time you rebuild your Silver.

You know it worked when the obelisk appears as a selectable destination in your fast travel options. Skipping this step is the most expensive mistake in the whole loop, because the maze search resets from scratch on your next trip.

Roll for Epic and Legendary gems at the Gem Merchant

With the obelisk active, head up to the Gem Merchant and open the gacha. Each 500 Silver pull returns one gem at a tier decided by the table above. There is no way to target a specific gem, so repetition is the only method.

Note: the Robux option at 32 per roll changes only the currency, not the odds. A paid pull is subject to the same 1% Legendary chance as a Silver pull.

Apply a gem enchant at the Blacksmith

A gem sitting in your inventory does nothing on its own. Take it to the Blacksmith, who handles the enchanting, and apply it to your gear there. The gem’s effect only becomes active once that transfer is done.

Shadow Lightning is the enchant worth understanding before you commit a roll. It adds damage, applies a stun, and layers on a shadow fire effect, which makes it the standout reason most players grind toward the top tier in the first place. The Shadow Diamond enchant is the other high-end target coming out of the same gacha.

The efficient farming loop

Front-load the Silver. Because pulls are independent and Legendary sits at 1%, arriving at the merchant with a large stack and rolling in one session is far more efficient than making repeat trips with 500 Silver at a time.

  • Farm Silver until you have a stack you are comfortable spending in one sitting.
  • Reach the Shimmering Sanctum once and activate the TP obelisk immediately.
  • Fast travel back on every future run instead of re-searching the maze.
  • Roll continuously until the gem you want appears, then enchant at the Blacksmith.

Treat the 1 Gem teleport fee as a one-time entry cost rather than a recurring one, and the whole thing collapses into a simple cycle of farming Silver and pulling. The gems themselves are pure chance, but everything around them — getting there, getting back, and turning a gem into an active enchant — is entirely under your control.
