The Veil Roblox: All Bosses and Locations

Every named boss in the game, the achievement each one unlocks, and the spawn points that are actually confirmed.

The Veil, the labyrinth RPG from BlackstarDW Studios, keeps its boss roster in the Bestiary rather than on the map. That means you can read every encounter’s name and drop table long before you know where the fight lives. Eleven bosses are named in the game right now, and each one is tied to its own achievement banner that fires the moment it dies.

Quick answer: Of the 11 bosses, three have named spawn areas — the Puppeteer in the Crumbling Ring (night only), the Festering Wound in the Maw of Decay, and the Goblin Warlock in the Glade. The rest are summoned from items and offerings rather than fixed, publicly documented arenas.

All 11 bosses in The Veil and their achievements

Every kill pops a two-word banner on screen. Those banners double as the achievement names, so they are the fastest way to confirm which boss you actually put down.

The Festering Wound is the Disease Era’s sealed-arena mega boss, which is why its region is fixed rather than roaming. The Smelter Demon sits in a fiery cavern with roughly 6,000 HP, and it can overlap with a Stormcaller spawn — when that happens the two bosses damage each other, which is chaotic but not something you can rely on.

Route to the Puppeteer in the Crumbling Ring

The Puppeteer is a secret boss and the only one with a walkable, repeatable route through the hedge maze. It spawns during the night cycle in the Crumbling Ring, and you trigger it manually rather than waiting for a timer.

Start at the maze entrance next to the carriage and follow the misty green pathway inward. Keep an eye on the directional indicators as you run.
Continue past the wooden spikes set into the ground. This is your first confirmation that you are on the correct branch, with tall mossy walls on both sides.
At the raised grass patch, turn right toward the stone door built into the wall. Open it and carry on through the corridor behind it.
Take the run of consecutive left and right turns along the stone walkway between the hedges. Do not double back — the path only moves forward from here.
Look for the clear gap in the hedge wall and pass through it. That opening feeds directly into the final stretch before the arena.
Enter the Crumbling Ring and wait for night if the cycle has not flipped yet. The boss cannot be summoned during the day.
Interact with the bomb mechanism on the central pedestal. The Puppeteer’s dialogue plays and the encounter starts immediately.

Ranged play works best here. The boss heals through its minions and scales its health, so clearing adds matters more than tunnelling the main target. Its Bestiary entry lists the Giant Smiley Bomb, the Hexed Wraithblade, and The Dice among its drops.

How boss spawns work: night cycle, offerings and summon items

Most encounters in The Veil are not standing around waiting for you. You collect a summoning item, bring it to the right spot, and start the fight yourself. The Stormcaller, for example, is triggered by depositing a Stone Accord at the central altar, then reaching the arena across the high platforms once night falls.

Night matters for more than spawn timing. Sanity drains after dark, and campfires are what hold it steady while you fight through the maze. Waypoint Obelisks handle the travel between unlocked regions such as The Shimmering Sanctum and the Scorch Basin, and the obelisk travel cooldown was cut from three minutes to 60 seconds in Patch 3.

Note: prestige is earned from boss kills, and each prestige level grants +50 HP up to a cap of 20 levels. Dying costs prestige, so a failed pull is not free.

Boss loot and the 20% damage contribution rule

Chests dropped by bosses and mob events only open for players who dealt at least 20% of the damage. That change landed in Patch 3 specifically to stop players from parachuting into someone else’s kill and looting it. If you show up late to a raid, you get nothing from the chest.

Party members can no longer damage each other at all, so friendly fire is not a factor when you are stacking contribution. Weaving is the main damage lever in these fights, with the boost stacking up to five times on successful weaves.

Rewards vary by encounter. A Stormcaller clear pays out 700 Silver alongside items and a new Main Quest, with Diamonds and Storm Accords pulled from the arena chests. The Smelter Demon drops the elite weapon Brimlash. Gear picked up around boss areas ranges from uncommon up to elite and legendary, each rarity separating passive and active skill slots.

How to confirm a boss kill registered

There is no ambiguity on a successful kill. The achievement banner takes over the screen — “SHOW’S OVER” for the Puppeteer, “Storm Calmed” for the Stormcaller, “Ember Dimmed” for the Smelter Demon — followed by the reward summary and any quest advancement. If the banner does not appear, the boss is still alive.

Losing the fight produces the same banner style for the boss you failed against, so read what follows it. A “Roar Silenced” screen after falling to a Hiveling Titan is the end-of-encounter marker, not proof you won.

Why a boss will not spawn

  • It is still daytime. The Puppeteer only appears during the night cycle in the Crumbling Ring.
  • You have not placed the required offering. The Stormcaller needs a Stone Accord deposited at the central altar first.
  • You have not interacted with the summon object. The Puppeteer’s bomb mechanism on the central pedestal has to be triggered manually.
  • You are on an outdated server. Older servers were reset during the patch rollouts, and mob spawning was reworked to fix reports of enemies failing to appear.

The boss list is the clearest map The Veil gives you right now. Read the Bestiary before you commit to a run, check what each encounter drops, and treat the Puppeteer as the reliable one to farm while the rest of the arenas are still being pinned down. The developers have flagged boss-raid incentives, including stun techs and accessories, as a focus for a future patch, so the loot side of these fights is likely to shift.
