The Walking Dead Online 3: Where to Find the Best Weapons and Supplies (Roblox)

The high-tier loot spots, firearm stats, and survival items that keep you alive in TWD Online.

The high-tier loot spots, firearm stats, and survival items that keep you alive in TWD Online.

Staying alive in The Walking Dead Online 3 comes down to two things: getting a strong gun early and keeping your thirst and hunger topped up. The open-world survival experience drops you into a persistent post-apocalyptic map where you scavenge towns, fight walkers, and clash with other players. Loot is not evenly spread, so knowing which buildings hold the good stuff saves you a lot of dangerous wandering.

Quick answer: Head to National Guard Encampments for automatic rifles. They are the most reliable source, and the strongest spawn sits at location 11 by the hospital. Grab an AK-47 if you can, since it can one-tap a walker with a headshot.

Best loot locations for high-tier gear

Pistols and basic supplies turn up almost everywhere, but rifles, revolvers, and rare sidearms cluster in a handful of high-risk spots. If you want anything better than a starter pistol, these are the buildings worth pushing into.

  • National Guard Encampments — the top source for automatic rifles, snipers, and heavier gear.
  • Correctional Facility — rifles, the Colt Python, Glock 17, and snipers.
  • Woodbury Town Hall — rifles, revolvers, and rare pistols.
  • Radar Station — a similar mix of rifles and rare handguns.
  • Hospital (location 11) — home to the best automatic rifle spawn on the map.
  • Zombie drops — occasionally yield rare guns like the ACR, plus healing items and food.

Pistols and where to find them

Pistols are your default self-defense tools. Most spawn in houses, stores, and common buildings, so you will almost always start a run with one. The catch is accuracy — the whole class is inaccurate, so you need to close the distance before firing.

PistolAmmoMagWhere to find
USP.45 ACP12Most buildings (very common)
M179mm17Most buildings (common)
Glock 179mm12Guard camps, Woodbury, Radar Station, Prison
Colt Python.357 Magnum6Prison, Guard camps, Woodbury, Radar Station (rare)
Desert Eagle.50 Cal7Most buildings (rare)
M1911.45 ACP9Most buildings (extremely rare)

The USP is the standout starter. It kills with a single headshot and its ammo is everywhere. The M17 plays almost identically but is a touch less common. The Glock 17 edges out both on accuracy, making it a strong secondary once you find one. The Desert Eagle hits hard and works well as a long-term backup, ideally paired with a USP, Glock, or M17.

Skip the Colt Python and M1911 for serious runs. The Python’s slow fire rate, small cylinder, and poor accuracy cancel out its punch, and the M1911 is essentially a weaker version of the other .45 pistols.

Rifles and snipers for your primary

Automatic rifles are the backbone of combat here because they cover short, medium, and long range. They don’t spawn in houses or ordinary shops, so you have to raid the military and high-security locations listed above to get one.

AK-477.62x39mm30Guard camps, Prison, Woodbury, Radar Stations
ACR5.56x45mm30Zombie drops, Guard camps (extremely rare)
M4A15.56x45mm30Guard camps, Prison, Woodbury, Radar Stations
M165.56x45mm30Guard camps
M16A15.56x45mm30Guard camps
Springfield7.62x39mm5Guard camps, Prison, Woodbury, Radar Stations
M247.62x39mm5Guard camps (most common here)

The AK-47 is the most powerful automatic in the game. It trades some accuracy and recoil control for raw damage and speed, and a headshot drops a walker instantly. The ACR is arguably the best-balanced rifle for power, fire rate, and accuracy, but it barely spawns, so treat it as a lucky find and make it your primary. The M4A1, M16, and M16A1 are all average rifles — usable, but the AK and ACR outclass them.

Tip: Conserve rifle ammunition. The 5.56x45mm and 7.62x39mm rounds run about as scarce as handgun ammo, but rifles burn through far more per fight. Lean on melee when you can, even in combat, to stretch your reserves.

Supplies for health, thirst, and hunger

Guns keep threats away, but supplies keep your survivor standing. Healing items, drinks, and food scatter across houses, stores, the hospital, roadside vehicles, and zombie drops. You also spawn with a Water Bottle and Canned Beans, so you have a small buffer at the start of every run.

ItemEffect
AntibioticsHeals the player
BandagesHeals the player
Tomato SoupRestores 12 hunger
Canned BeansRestores 10 hunger
Water BottleRestores 10 thirst
Soda CanRestores 5 thirst
Dog FoodRestores 5 hunger

Prioritize Tomato Soup and Canned Beans for hunger and Water Bottles for thirst, since they refill the most per use. Dog Food and Soda Cans are stopgaps for when nothing better is around. Keep at least one Antibiotic or Bandage on hand at all times, because a walker bite is a real risk out in the world.

Gamepasses available

Several gamepasses can be bought with Robux to change how you play or look. They cover cosmetic character packs, a group-management upgrade, and a mode that lets you play as a walker.

  • Main Show Character Pack
  • Telltale Character Pack
  • Ghillie Suit
  • Team Leader +
  • Custom Character+
  • Walker Mode

The game is still in Beta, so expect bugs, balancing changes, and unfinished features as it develops. The core loop is stable enough to plan around, though: start with a pistol, push a guard camp or the hospital for a rifle, and keep your food and water stocked while you build up. Play smart with your ammo and pick your fights, and you’ll last a lot longer against both the infected and the other survivors sharing your server.
