Thwarting Kolkar Aggression Quest Walkthrough (WoW Classic)

Thwarting Kolkar Aggression is a low-level Horde quest in Durotar that sends you into Kolkar Crag to wreck three centaur battle plans. It follows the quest A Strategic Alliance and is picked up and turned in with Lar Prowltusk outside Sen’jin Village. In modern retail World of Warcraft the quest was made obsolete in patch 4.0.3a, but it remains fully playable in Classic.

Quick answer: Travel southwest from Sen’jin Village into Kolkar Crag and interact with all three Attack Plan scrolls lying on the ground near the centaur tents, then return to Lar Prowltusk to complete the quest.

You choose one of the two item rewards on turn-in, so pick the piece that suits your class. Both options are basic starter gear.

Attack plan locations in Kolkar Crag

All three plans sit on the ground inside or right beside the centaur tents. There is one plan per camp, and the camps sit in three separate cubbies formed by the canyon walls. The coordinates below point you straight to each scroll.

The scrolls glow with a small sparkle. Right-click each one to destroy it. If a scroll disappears, it respawns after roughly 15 seconds, so wait a moment and try again.

Step-by-step walkthrough

Speak with Lar Prowltusk just outside Sen’jin Village and accept Thwarting Kolkar Aggression. He stands near the other Sen’jin quest givers.

Head southwest from Sen’jin Village toward the mountains, then follow the canyon passage into Kolkar Crag. The zone name pops up on screen when you enter.

Enter the first camp on your left. Clear the centaurs guarding the southern tent, then right-click the Attack Plan: Valley of Trials scroll on the tent floor to destroy it.

Follow the canyon floor to the central tent and destroy the Attack Plan: Sen’jin Village scroll on the ground beside the tent, near the barrels and torch.

Push deeper toward the rear camp with the large bonfire. Enter the back tent and destroy the Attack Plan: Orgrimmar scroll to finish the last objective.

With all three objectives ticked off, run back out of Kolkar Crag to Lar Prowltusk. Turn in the quest and choose your reward.

Enemies to watch for

Each camp is defended by centaurs around level 7 to 8, so clear them before reaching for a scroll. Pull carefully, especially at low level.

Kolkar Drudge — melee attackers that hit hard. Pull one at a time rather than a group.
Kolkar Outrunner — will try to flee in fear at low health. Engage the ranged ones first.

Hugging the canyon walls helps you avoid extra aggro while moving between camps. Miners can also grab copper veins that spawn near the tents along the way.

How to confirm the quest is done

Your quest log shows all three objectives at 1/1 once every plan is destroyed, and Lar Prowltusk will offer the completion dialogue with the reward choice. To double-check whether the quest is already flagged complete on your character, type this into the chat box:

A result of true confirms the quest is recorded as completed. Once you hand it in and pick either the Seasoned Fighter’s Cloak or Heavy Cord Bracers, the 700 experience and faction reputation are awarded and Thwarting Kolkar Aggression is finished.
