Tower Defense Simulator Events: Kingpin Tower Live Now and What’s Next

Updated July 24, 2026 By AllThingsHow Staff 9,100 playing now

Tower Defense Simulator’s headline event has just over a week left to run: the Kingpin Tower update closes at 12:00 PM ET on July 31, 2026, after taking over directly from the Semiquincentennial Summer update, which wrapped up on July 17. Paradoxum Games will open a new Story Mode campaign the moment Kingpin Tower closes, with the evolved Enforcer tower following in the middle of August. This page covers Tower Defense Simulator’s current lineup of in-game events — what’s live, what’s next, and a plain-language look at what each one adds.

The game remains one of Roblox’s heavyweight experiences. It has passed about 4,900,000,000 lifetime visits and holds about 3,500,000 favorites, and roughly about 9,100 players are in matches fending off zombie hordes as of this writing. Four events sit on the calendar: the Kingpin Tower update now live, the summer update that closed out on July 17, the new Story Mode campaign arriving July 31, and the Enforcer Tower drop scheduled for August.

Current and upcoming events

Kingpin Tower (live now)

Kingpin Tower is the event live in-game right now. It began at 12:00 PM ET on July 17, 2026 (9:00 AM PT, 5:00 PM BST) and runs through 12:00 PM ET on July 31. The update introduces Kingpin, the evolved form of the Crook Boss tower — a crime boss who bankrolls his operation with cash, backroom contracts, and hired muscle. His roster spans gunners, bouncers, hitmen, and money runners, and his signature ability, Hit Orders, pays out bonus cash for wiping out marked enemies. It is comfortably the most popular item on the schedule, with well over 160,000 players having marked interest — far ahead of anything else here.

Story Mode (up next)

Story Mode is the next addition to Tower Defense Simulator, arriving at 12:00 PM ET on July 31, 2026 (9:00 AM PT, 5:00 PM BST) the moment Kingpin Tower’s run ends, and staying in the game through August 14. Rather than a limited-time cosmetic drop, it’s a new way to play: a chapter-based campaign following Commander through the early days of the game’s zombie war, playable solo or with friends, with stars earned and bosses defeated to unlock further chapters. It’s a fresh addition rather than a returning event, so interest is still just beginning to register on the schedule.

Enforcer Tower (later in August)

Enforcer Tower follows right behind, set to run from August 14 to August 28, 2026, both starting and ending at 12:00 PM ET. It continues the evolved-tower theme, turning Shotgunner into Enforcer, a SWAT-styled unit armed with a heavy shotgun and flashbangs that stop enemies in their tracks. Upgrades take the shotgun fully automatic, let players move towers around the map by helicopter, and bring in armored vans that smash straight through enemy lines. Interest has climbed past 60,000 players — still a fraction of Kingpin’s turnout, but a strong showing for an event more than three weeks out.

Semiquincentennial Summer (recently ended)

Semiquincentennial Summer ran from July 3 to July 17, 2026, ending at 12:00 PM ET on July 17 as Kingpin Tower took its place. Themed around both the season and America’s 250th birthday, it added three cosmetic crates: the Beach Crate and Scuba Crate, both made through the game’s Community Workshop, alongside a Patriotic Crate for the anniversary. It drew interest from more than 90,000 players over its two-week run, and its cosmetics are reflected in the game’s 2.2.0 version notes.

A pattern is taking shape across these drops. Paradoxum has been rolling out evolved towers one after another — Operator in version 2.1.0, Kingpin now, Enforcer next — and each event runs for a full two weeks. The handoff timing keeps getting tighter: the summer update passed straight to Kingpin Tower with no gap, Story Mode picks up the instant Kingpin ends on July 31, and Enforcer begins the moment Story Mode’s run closes on August 14. Every one of these events has started at 12:00 PM ET, so that’s the time to watch when something new goes live.
