What crates and medals unlock
Medals act as the core free currency, spent on unlocking gear and progressing through in-game tracks. Crates work on a random-drop system, covering three categories: cosmetics, Enlisted melee weapons, and firearms. Since the contents of each crate are random, opening more of them raises the odds of pulling a specific weapon skin or gear piece, which is why stacking crate rewards from multiple codes is worth doing before they expire.
